XIII - Influences
Returning to Orlando placed James in comfortable and friendly surroundings. However, residing someplace other than his father’s house and possessing a wife, child and new job, was unfamiliar territory. Consistency had never played a major role in James’s existence, though. He had learned to adjust to many disruptions in his life and prospered through hard work. Those survival instincts assisted him now.
Working at the Sentinel provided many new challenges and a lot of responsibility. Determined to excel, James applied his old work ethic to his current position. He worked hard to complete his daily assignments in a timely and efficient manner. Editing a paper as large as the Sentinel could be boring one moment and rapid-fire the next, and James never knew what to expect.
