“These are irrelevant to this case,” the defense attorney argued.
A large, obese African American woman on the jury raised her hand. “Please forgive us, but we would like to hear the testimony of those people mentioned by the defendant’s lawyer.”
“Defendant, is that alright?” the judge asked Zhang Jing.
“This is too sudden; they didn’t come today,” Zhang Jing explained.
