Sarah POV
I was at a loss for words, unsure of how to respond to Daniel's confession. It was clear to me that he was afraid I might walk away if he were to tell me the truth about what he was feeling or experiencing. He seemed consumed by the fear that I might leave him, whatever this complicated situation between us might be, if he opened up and shared his true feelings.
What specific information is Daniel hesitant to share with me? Is there something concerning or troubling that he's holding back? My intention is to reassure him and help ease his worries. I want him to know that no matter what he needs to tell me, I will never abandon him or walk away. His secrets or fears won't change my commitment or support for him.
However, I found myself unable to articulate the words. I considered respecting his wish to delay discussing this, suggesting we could address it at another time. "Daniel," I began softly, as I gently placed my hand on his bare chest to caress it. "Let's focus on the present moment and postpone this discussion for now. Perhaps waiting to share your secret will make it easier to tell me later," I said, my voice gentle but tinged with hesitation.
Daniel leaned in carefully, gently cupping my face with his hands as he moved in to kiss me with deep tenderness. I responded instinctively, pulling him closer, craving the connection. A soft moan escaped my lips, and I could swear I heard Daniel let out a low growl in response. After a moment, Daniel gently pulled back just enough to look straight into my eyes, his gaze intense and filled with unspoken emotion.
Later on, I plan to take you out—just the two of us—and I want to explain everything to you in detail. My only request is that you approach what I have to say with an open mind. I really don't want to lose you, Sarah. For now, let's get some sleep," he stated.

Later on, Daniel followed through on his promise to take me out. I appreciate that Daniel brought me some clothes and kept them at his place, which makes things much simpler for me when I stay overnight.
Where are we headed, Daniel? I asked softly, my curiosity evident in my voice. There was a brief moment of silence before Daniel responded. "I'm taking you to a place where I and others like me find peace," he explained calmly. I wondered what exactly he meant by "others like me." Did he refer to wealthy individuals, business owners, or perhaps people with a certain background? What was he really talking about, and what kind of place could offer such tranquility to him and his kind?
As he continued driving, my eyes remained fixed on the passing scenery of the woods. We didn't encounter any cities or tall buildings on our way to a destination I didn't know. Where is Daniel taking me?
There was a narrow dirt road ahead, winding gently through the landscape, and Daniel carefully took the turn onto this unpaved path. He drove a bit further before coming to a stop, cautiously parking the car. After switching off the engine, Daniel stepped out of the vehicle, and then he reached the passenger side to assist me in getting out as well.
I was immediately enveloped by the pure, crisp air, which was filled with the refreshing scent of pine trees and the soft, soothing rustling of leaves in the breeze. I couldn’t help but wonder—why did Daniel bring me here?
I understand it might seem unusual for me to bring you into the middle of the woods, but there's something about the scent of the trees, the fresh air, and the melodious chirping of birds that truly relaxes me, he explained.
Intrigued, I asked, "Why is this place so special to you?" He paused for a moment before replying, "The woods are the one place where I can genuinely be myself, away from everything else," he said as he held my hand.
Sarah, I have deep feelings for you, more than you realize, and I need you to understand how sincere I am. Daniel confided in me.
Then please tell me the things you have been holding back from me, I urged him, eager for honesty.
If I do, you will be scared of me, he worried. I don't want that, I don't want you to look at me differently, he added with concern.
Why bring me out into the woods to tell me more about yourself? Also, like you said before, Daniel, if you don't open up to me, we can't move forward and give us a real chance, I reminded him, hoping for vulnerability to strengthen our connection.
Daniel then released my hand and began pacing back and forth, as if he was wrestling intensely with his thoughts. He took a deliberate step toward me, drawing in a deep, steadying breath before finally speaking.
"I can't just tell you, Sarah; I need to show you as well. The world we live in is not what you perceive it to be. There are many more powerful forces at play, forces you are unaware of," he began to explain. "What are you really trying to tell me, Daniel?" I asked. Humans are not alone in this world. There are supernatural beings that roam this planet," he stated. "What do you mean by supernatural beings?" I voiced my concern.
Daniel gazed intently into my eyes, ensuring I was fully attentive before speaking freely, observing my reactions carefully. "Vampires, werewolves, demons, witches, and many other creatures aren't merely fictional stories portrayed on television shows or in movies; they are real, Sarah. I am a werewolf."
