I Knew It

512 Words
John POV I had a strong suspicion that my boss and Sarah were involved in an inappropriate relationship, particularly after he appeared twice and disrupted my interactions with Sarah. The truth became clear to me when I saw Sarah unexpectedly at my workplace during a crisis. There was no reason for her to be there unless she had been specifically invited or had some hidden motive. Once again, my boss interrupted the conversation between Sarah and myself. Given how both of them were dressed, one might have thought they were on a date. This made my blood boil knowing Sarah had the eyes for my boss the entire time. After Mr. Lawrence was dismissed due to the security crisis, I remained nearby to gather concrete evidence that Sarah had been unfaithful. Regarding Daniel, I plan to confront him where it will cause him the most pain. I will target his company directly. Since I possess the security access codes, gaining entry should be simple. However, the board members are unwilling to consider my ideas, and my boss appears to have ulterior motives regarding sleeping with my woman. Due to these issues, I have decided to transition and work with our competitors. It's time for a change of pace, and Daniel Lawrence deserves it. I will see to that. As for Sarah, she is my woman, and I am not finished with her yet. Over the weekend, I will start to carefully lay out my plans in detail. Daniel Lawrence will be completely blindsided by what I have in store. He won't have the slightest suspicion. All I require is an expert hacker and someone else to assume responsibility if anything goes awry. It was still early in the morning when the staff from the IT department began quietly leaving their desks and heading out, looking exhausted. I moved swiftly and silently through the area, searching carefully for Sarah, but she was not visible anywhere. My eyes caught a brief glimpse of Mr. Lawrence as he made his way toward his office; I decided to follow him, wondering if Sarah had already left without me noticing. Mr. Lawrence was already inside his office when I arrived, the door slightly ajar. I pressed my ear gently against the wood, eager to catch any sounds from within. For a brief moment, everything was silent, and I considered turning away, thinking I might have been mistaken or that it wasn't worth intruding. However, just as I was about to leave, I unexpectedly caught the faint, unmistakable sound of moaning coming from inside the room. A surge of anger and frustration welled up inside me, causing my blood to boil with rage. Was it Sarah moaning? It had to be her; I was utterly convinced of it. All I could think about was storming into the office and confronting my boss face-to-face. But I knew I needed to stay composed to ensure my plans would succeed. I left the scene feeling angry, yet I also discovered a new sense of purpose that gave me a clearer focus.
