Chapter 28
Wildau and Daiyu led the platoon that was advancing through the narrow tunnel. At one point one of the soldiers pointed his lamp to the ground and exclaimed something in Chinese. The woman bent down and picked up a small cylinder from the floor.
" Hans, look at this." She said, displaying a flashlight battery in his hand.
“It is evident that this place was recently visited.” answered the German. "We are on the right path. Tell your men to prepare their weapons, we can run into the group we are following."
“Remember that there were no vehicles downstairs. If they were here, they have likely left."
“We are at the coordinates that my boss indicated. The data comes from a good source. Whether they are in this cave at this moment or not we are following their footsteps closely."
