Our Very Own Superman

Here is what happened last time on The Werewolf's Superiority I try to tell Dr. Addison to look at the camera footage, and then she will also see that something was moving inside the tomb before I fell. She quickly tells me that the fall broke the camera. Dr. Addison wants me to see a medic as I am not making any sense. I finally agree to have a medic check me out. I go back home and eat while forgetting to see the medic. I help Dr. Addison to get all the bones out of the tomb. I am starting to pick up something that is different with me. I pick up smells, tastes and my eyes are much better. I smell a storm coming in and tell Dr. Addison to pack up all of her equipment. I pick up the boxes that Roman helped to carry and head down the hill towards the house. I walk into the house and realizes that I do not know where her room is. I take a deep breath and follow the smell of her to her room. I put the boxes down in the corner. I walk back outside to get the rest of the equipment. Once I get to the top of the mountain again, I see everyone is standing around. No one is packing up as I suggested to them. I tell the rest of the people; "You need to start packing everything away right now. The storm is coming!" They stand around joking and laughing at me. I walk to Dr. Addison and say; "What else? We need to get off this mountain urgently." She responds; "I have sealed these boxes. So, you can take them down for me so long." She puts two boxes in my arms, and I walk down the hill again. Again, I put the boxes in her room and walk back out. I pick up the smell in the air, and I know we do not have a lot of time left before the storm hits. I run up to Dr. Addison and ask; "What else?" She notices that I am not out of breath. She points to the two boxes on the table and says; "You can take those two boxes as well." I grab them and start running down the hill. She stands there in amazement while not moving as her eyes are focused on me. Once I am at the main house, I quickly gather the people and say; "Storm is going to hit. Please ensure that everyone is ready to take cover." They look at me like I am craze. I walk to Dr. Addison's room and put the boxes down. I quickly run back up the hill to her again. She asks in amazement; "Arent you tired?" I quickly think for a second and say; "Of course I am. But this needs to be done as quickly as I can. No time to waste." She looked heavenward, back to me while asking; "No clouds, no wind. I am sorry, but I do not see a storm coming in." I walk closer to Dr. Addison, and she steps a few steps backward as I ask her; "Tell me, Dr. Addison. As a scientist, can you see the wind?" "No. No one does." "Exactly. Just because you can not see something, that doesn't mean that it is not there. I am telling you, there is a storm approaching." "Okay. Fine. We will see who is right or not?" Confidently I say; "We will. What else can I take?" "These last two boxes, then we are done." I take them from her and say; "Meet you down there." I quickly make my way down the hill and back to the house. I place the boxes in her room and run out. I meet her halfway, and I tell her; "Can you feel the wind? It is picking up." She says; "Yes. I did feel the cool wind as I was starting to walk down the hill. But still no clouds, Dr. Andrews." I give her a fake smile and say; "I have put the boxes safely in your room." As I turn and walk up the hill, she asks; "How did you know where my room was?" I shrug my shoulders and say; "Really? I guessed. You want to have that conversation here?" Dr. Addison eyes start to narrow as she tells me suspiciously; "Okay. But we are going to talk about this later when you get back, okay?" I try to brush her off to walk away. I tell her dismissively; "Fine. Whatever." She quickly grabs my arm and asks; "Where do you think that you are going?" "I am going to close the cave door to preserve the site and to help the others. Could you let my arm go, please?" She lets it go. I turn around and start to run up the hill. She looks down to the house and then at me running up the mountain, and she decides to follow me instead. I get inside the cave, pick up one of the rods. As I am about to turn I, see Dr. Addison standing behind me with a flashlight. She asks me; "How can you see?" I start to grow impatient with all these questions and say; "I can not explain it, okay. I know that in a few minutes, all hell is going to bear down on this mountain and that we can not be here when it happens." I push her out of the cave, and with one hand, I close the door and seal it with the rod. The wind has now significantly picked up. Some of the equipment of the other people is blowing around. I see Roman's Ground Penetrating Radar in the wind starting to blow away. I tell Dr. Addison; "Stay here. I need to get the Ground Penetrating Radar. That is a very expensive and very limited radar." I run into the wind towards the radar. I pick it up and run back to Dr. Addison. Everyone is running down the hill towards the house. I ask her; "Are you ready?" I see the fear on her face and say; "Why are you scared. I am here." The lighting hits a tree close to us with a loud thunderclap. Dr. Addison gets so scared but sees that I am not flinching at all. She tells me; "I do not know what I am more scared of, the fact that you were right about the storm or the storm itself?" I give her a friendly smile and say; "Chloe, you can trust me. Trust me to get you down this mountain safely, please?" I use her name to get her attention and to gain some trust with her. She looks at the tree falling down in the field and nods at me. I tell her; "Get on my back. I will carry you." She jumps up on my back. I ask her; "Are you ready? Hold on tightly, here we go." I start running down the hill. Even though the rain is in my eyes, lightning all around with the wind blowing everyone around, I can see everything clearly. The ground is quickly getting wet, but I can run with ease. I ask Dr. Addison; "Are you okay back there?" "Yes. Just scared and wet." "Okay. I will try to get us down as fast as possible." I see two people trying to make it down the mountain. I tell them; "Just hold on to that tree down there, and I will come back for you." I run down the road and straight to the house. I put Dr. Addison down in front of the door and tell her; "Get yourself safely inside. I will be back now." She tries to screams after me. But I have already run back into the storm. I hear her saying; "No, wait, you cant go." I ignore her and run up the hill to the tree. I see the guy holding on for dear life and ask him; "Where is the woman that was with you?" He points to the grass. I start looking around to see where the woman is. As the wind blows across the field, I see her white shirt as she lies flat on the ground, trying to hold on to whatever she can. I tell the guy; "Keep holding on, okay. I need to get the lady first as she has nothing to hold unto, and then I will come back for you, keep holding on. Okay?" I see him nodding. I turn and run straight to where I last saw the woman. As I get closer, I see her holding on to some grass in the field. I grab her hand and pull her closer to me. I turn and help her on my back. I walk back to the guy holding onto the tree. When we get to him, I grab hold of her and say; "Let him get on my back, and I will carry you in my arms down the hill." He gets on my back, and I pick her up in my arms, and I walk us down the road to the house. The wind and rain are so bad that I can not see where I am going. I look on the road and see where I have walked previously and follow that trail to the house. We finally make it back to the house. I put her down, and the guy slides off my back. I open the front door, and everyone runs towards us to help. I close the door behind us and wipe the water out of my eyes. I look in the back of the crowd, and I see Dr. Addison with a towel drying her hair while looking amazed at me. Everyone celebrates and congratulates me on saving the two. I smile and say; "Okay, okay. Not that a big of a deal." Dr. Addison walks through the crowd towards me and says; "That is impressive. But you are freaking me out." I smile and say; "So because I do something heroic, now I am a freak in your eyes?" "No. It is everything that you are doing, not just running into danger. But okay, I will give it to you, you were wonderful out there. Brave, but also stupid." "Hey, I would do it for anyone and hope that someone will do it for me as well." I see the way she looks at my wet body. I ask her; "Do you see something that you like?" She gets startled at what I was asking her. She shakes her head and tells me; "I am on my period, remember? Maybe you should put some dry clothes on." "Yeah, maybe." I walk to my room and close the door. I undress, and I see my reflection in the mirror. I walk closer to inspect my body. I turn to the right and then to the left. I am impressed with what I am seeing as I feel so powerful. I dry myself and put on some dry clothes. A familiar scent stops me in my tracks. It is the scent of meatloaf that fills my nostrils. It sends chills up my spine. As I open the door, I see Dr. Addison standing in the hall. I smile and say; "Is there something that you need?" "Yes. Dinner is ready, or did you already know?" I smile and say to her; "I will follow you, Dr. Addison." She leads us to the mess hall. There are two tables set up already. The chef smiles as he sees me. He leads me to my seat, and I sit down. Dr. Addison sits down opposite me. I ask her; "Are you following me?" "No. You intrigue me. That is all. I have never met anyone that will willfully run into danger for anyone. Least of all for three people." I look at her and say; "It was two, not three. If you count yourself as one, then only it comes to three." The chef walks in and places the meatloaf on the table, and says; "Everyone, dig in." The chef walks to me and says; "I have kept yours aside. It is just the way you like it. Here is your plate." It is half raw like I ate this afternoon. I tell the chef; "You are f*****g awesome, do you know that?" He smiles friendly and says; "Enjoy. Michael." "Thank you, kind sir." I start eating and enjoying the meal. It feels like Dr. Addison can not keep her eyes off of me. I look through my eyebrows to see if she is looking at me. She has stopped eating and is just staring at me while I am eating. I sit back in my chair, swallow my food and ask her; "What is it with you? Is your food not good enough?" "Oh no, it is. I am just looking at you." As I am growing impatient with her, Ethan jumps up and says; "Attention, everyone. I think that I speak for everyone in here. In saying thank you to Dr. Andrews for what he did. Do any of you know what he told me in the cave? He has already lost two people, and that he doesn't want to lose anymore? He continually put himself in danger to save the people around him. The ER doctor said that if Dr. Andrews did not put the belt around Roman's leg, he would have bled out in that cave and died. Then, he runs out back out after saving Dr. Addison. Dr. Andrews runs out again into a storm to save two other people. So, everyone joins me in raising a glass to our very own superman, Dr. Michael Andrews." Everyone drinks to the toast. I raise my arms, trying not to make a big deal out of everything. But it is too late for that. Ethan says; "Speech Dr. Andrews. Speech!" I reluctantly stand up and say; "Some of you I have just met, and others like Ethan and Roman, I have known for a while. We have been on many adventures with each other. I only did what anyone would do in that position. I lost two people, and I do not want to see or feel that ever again. Love for a fellow human being is a powerful emotion. So love that is utilized correctly, and it can accomplish a lot of things. I just used mine to help people in need. So, here is to everyone, surviving and living and to our success in discovering the best discovery in the last century!" "Hear hear!" Everyone drinks and claps their hand. I sit down and ask Dr. Addison; "Was it too cheesy?" She smiles and says; "Oh no, it was just the right amount of mush to impress the crowd." "Mission accomplished then." I finish eating my food. I get up to get myself a second helping. I walk back to the table and sit down again. Dr. Addison crosses her arms and asks; "You must be tired from all that running?" I shake my head in total disbelieve and ask; "Really? You are not going to let it go?" She smiles and says; "I am just asking. That's all. Are we still on for later?" I look at her with a blank expression. She says; "Showing you how the DNA sampler works?" "Oh. Yes, definitely. That would be fantastic to see what it does." She gives me a shy smile and says; "It relatively easy. But I will gladly show you after dinner."
