Adventure in The Game World

Chapter 4

" Hoaaamm ... !! " A human figure was seen writhing under the thick blanket of a bed . That human is none other than Jack , the owner of the mansion in the middle of the Bosmont forest . Last night he could feel sleeping on a bed that at first glance looked very luxurious.

" Finally , I can feel the soft bed . " Jack said , rubbing his eyes .

" Today , I will start my adventure in this unfamiliar world . " Jack continued .

" First of all , I have to get ready . Wash myself , wear proper clothes , and lastly prepare all the equipment that must be brought along for the trip . " Jack said as he sat on the edge of the bed .

Not long after , Jack got out of bed and headed for the wardrobe which was in the corner of the room . After selecting clothes , Jack then headed to a door that was not far from the wardrobe . The door connects between the bedroom and bathroom. Long enough , Jack was in the bathroom until he came out wrapped only in a thin cloth that could not cover all parts of his body .

Jack came out of the bathroom , he immediately put on the clothes that had been neatly arranged on the bed . A few minutes later , Jack came out of the room wearing neat but simple clothes . Looks like he's only wearing . Clean white shirt , combined with brown leather pants , with matching colored boots . And for the final touch , Jack added a dark brown robe .

"My preparations for adventure are almost complete. The last thing I need is money for my travels. " Jack said while standing in front of the mirror .

Soon after , Jack rushed to the treasury to retrieve the bag of money .

[ Good morning , Master ! ]

" Huh , you startled me , system ! " Jack shouted spontaneously .

[ Excuse me , sir . ]

" Hmph ! " Jack sighed . After that , Jack paused while looking around the room .

" System , can I ask something . " Asked Jack .

[ Anything you want , sir . ]

" First , is there anything stored in your system ? " Jack asked .

" Second , if I want to meet humans or other races in this world , where should I go ? I'm so lonely . " Jack continued .

[ That 's all , sir . ]

[In that case, I will answer the two questions that Master asked. ]

[ Firstly , my system has unlimited storage capability . ]

[ Second , the distance between you and the nearest source of life is 30 km from this place . There lies a small village inhabited by a group of elves. ]

[ The name of the village is Lumina . ]

" Hm , I see . " Jack said , nodding his head . After hearing the answer from the system , Jack immediately took several bags containing gold and silver coins . Not to forget , Jack also took several magic items in the room .

" Now , I want to store all of this in your repository , system . " Jack said as he held several leather pouches filled with gold coins .

" Now , all preparations have been completed . " Jack continued .

" Come on , let 's go on an adventure to the outside world together . " Jack invited the system that always accompanies him .

Happily , the system accepted Jack 's invitation . Then the two of them came out of the mansion excitedly. Not to forget , Jack locked all the doors of the mansion and put back the magic protection surrounding the mansion . It took half a day to get out of the Bosmont forest. As soon as he came out , Jack was immediately treated to a very wide expanse of meadows . In the distance you can see a row of mountains.

" If you keep walking , it will take up to 1 full day to reach the nearest village . " Jack said quietly .

" For that , I will use magic to get there quickly . " Jack continued . For a moment Jack was silent as he concentrated on gathering his mana.

"ZAP ! Instantly , Jack 's body disappeared and suddenly appeared several meters away from his previous starting point .

" It seems , this magic can only move my body a few meters . " Jack said while observing his body . " Ah , I just remembered ! " Jack said .

" Before moving places , it would be nice for me to observe the situation around here . This is just a precaution . " Jack continued .

" 1 God 's Eye " Instantly , in Jack 's eyes a golden yellow magic circle appeared which indicated that the magic had been activated . God's Eye allows the user to see far ahead up to hundreds of kilometers from where the magic user is.

"Ah, I can see the whole place here. It seems, I'm on a continent inhabited by several kingdoms. And there are many other continents that I might be able to explore."

Later . This reminds me of when I still played Questhunt games. " Jack said while looking around .

" My original goal was to head for the village of Lumina , a place where one of the Elf race groups reside . I can not wait to see them . Hopefully I'm well received. " Jack said while continuing to look for the whereabouts of Lumina village .

Until finally , Jack found a village surrounded by dense forest . At first , Jack felt that there was nothing strange about the village until he saw the state of the village which was in ruins and its inhabitants were seriously injured .

"Eh, what happened to that village? " Jack asked himself while showing a shocked expression .

" System , do you know the name of the village I just saw ? " Jack asked the system .

[ I can confirm it is Lumina Village . ] Hearing the answer from the system made Jack disbelief .

" What could make the village destroyed like that ? " asked Jack .

" Even though I know the Elf race is one of the strongest races compared to the others . " Jack added .

[That possibility was the result of another race attacking them. For example, the elite race of Orcs who are used to clashing with other races around them. ]

[ And one more thing , this world has changed a lot since you and your friends were not around . ]

[ Over the past 300 years , the demon race has grown in strength and terrorized all races in this world . They only have two choices , join the demon race or fight against it . ]

" W - wait a minute ! 300 years you say ! " Jack shouted .

" Didn't I just not play this game." Asked Jack in a confused tone .

[That's right, sir. However, this world has time difference with the real world. 1 year in the real world equals 100 years in this world. ]

" Ah , I see . " Jack said after hearing the explanation from the system . With that , one more piece of information Jack got from the system . Namely about the time difference between this world and the real world where Jack comes from.

" For now , let us quickly head to Lumina

village to help them . " Jack invited .

[ Yes sir . ]

With that , Jack and the system rushed towards Lumina village .
