One week passed , some were mourning Elysia's father while some were throwing shade at him, saying that he was the reason behind the explosion and scores of deaths. As the police were not able to find Elysia's father, they confirmed his death to the public and closed the case. They also decided to give the guardianship of Elysia to her maternal aunty , who was her only biological family left .

Elysia's life turned from riches to rags with her alcohol-addicted aunt. Now she had to live in a slum area in a shabby house. Elysia's aunt had thought before taking her in that after her father's death all his assets would be given to Elysia. But after all the legal processes were done, she got to know that all the money was given as compensation to the dead and injured workers' families and Elysia was left with none.

Therefore, her aunt started taking out all her frustration on her by beating her. She didn't give her proper food or clothes and made her do all her chores. She even made her beg on the streets and do chores in other people's houses for money.

Not only did she have to endure this t*****e at home, but whenever she used to go outside, people would start calling her names and abusing her father, saying that her father was a murderer.

In due course of time, Elysia grew up. A girl who was once a sweet and well behaved girl grew up into a bold, cunning, manipulative and arrogant girl to survive among the people around her who were always ready to kill each other for money and power.She started standing up for herself and fighting for her rights. She even started to tell off people who talk bad about her or her father. She even started to manipulate other people in order to get her work done. Growing up in poverty also made her a minimalist person. But after all the things that happened to her, she never forgot the morals taught by her father, because of which she was highly respected.

She worked in a restaurant as a waitress. She was the only one earning and taking care of the house. Her aunt used to drink alcohol nonstop and used to go out with her friends. It was soo hard for her as, at the tender age of ten, she had to learn to take care of herself and to work hard to fend for herself.

Often she had thoughts of finishing everything by killing herself, but the only thing that kept her going was the gold ring which her father gave her. She kept on wearing the ring as a necklace around her neck so that the ring was hidden beneath her top.

One day, Elysia's aunt brought a man over to the house and introduced him as her boyfriend to Elysia and told her that he was also going to live there from now on. That man looked rich and powerful but he was also an alcohol addict, just like her aunt.

Elysia doesn't know why, but from day one she felt some kind of uneasiness after seeing that man. The way that man looked at her always made her uncomfortable. He even tried to touch her whenever her aunt was not looking. It was clear to her that he had some ill intentions towards her. She tried to stay away from him as much as possible by staying out working late, but he even started to stalk her. She knew by telling all this to her aunt she would be digging her own grave just as she wouldn't believe her. She took the matter in her own hand and many times she told him off, but he didn't stop. He was one of the influential men of that area, so nobody even tried to help her.
