The main Erina’s plan today is asking help from Edward to bring her out of Morgan’s tyranny. Since the first Morgan offered Erina an invitation, Edward’s name is the first thing that comes to her mind.
They had ever worked together before and Erina did know that Edward is a lawyer. He also has knowledge about the scandal. If Edward received the letter and saw the name on the wedding invitation, Erina was pretty sure his genius instinct would quickly realize the gaffe and decide to attend the wedding.
Although already had a perfect plan, Erina realized the fact that Morgan and his men would chase after her. However, Edward is a lawyer and Erina’s sure he would throw a law which can imprison a cruel man like Morgan.
To smooth her plan, Erina didn’t protest everything Morgan asked her to. Even when she’s being dressed and make over, she sits still like a queen.
Now, Erina is wearing a white dress. The dress is a simple one, but looks luxurious. Made from chiffon scratch that arranged in layers. The dress fits perfectly in her body. Matched with her simple dress, Erina put on a light make up on her face.
The wedding celebrated in an aula which isn’t far from Morgan’s mansion. The man already rented out a yard that has been arranged carefully for their wedding ceremony.
In the morning, Lana led Erina walk down the stairs. They are going to the car that have been waiting for them.
But, right when they both reach the last staircase, they hear a familiar voice.
“How should I punish you?” Morgan asked a man who stood towards him. Morgan’s voice sounded vengeful, while the men kept his head down. Some parts of his face look battered.
“I’m really sorry, Sir. Please forgive me,” The men said, then bowed his back again and again.
But, the action didn’t leave any change, even Morgan’s expression didn’t change at all. He still looks at him with a cold deadpan eyes.
“I won’t give mercy for betrayal. You should choose whether–” His lips still opened, but no sounds came out. He stopped when realize that Erina and Lana were here. As if he was conscious that the next word wouldn't be proper to hear.
For a second, his black iris looks darker.
Realizing the signal from Morgan, Lana quickly grabbed Erina’s hands and led her get out of there.
“What just happened?” Erina asked. From the move surrounding her, she ensures this isn’t the first time things like that have happened. Lana definitely knows more information about that.
“Morgan did an investigation and found out that one of his maids was a spy for his enemy. Now, he is going to give him a worthy punishment.” Lana explained in a whisper and kept leading Erina through this extremely big house.
“But, that’s too violent.” Erina protested, remembering how battered the men were.
“Boss is a strict man. He wouldn’t tolerate a betrayal, and we all know that.” Lana explained.
Erina hears the answer clearly, but it makes her more and more unhappy. This is their wedding day, and Morgan still had time to judge somebody abruptly.
“Did Morgan always use violence like that?” Erina asked. His mood suddenly became worse every time she remembered the glare. Unattainable. Unreachable.
Lana shakes her head. “He just became violence and strict in the right situation. For example, in times like this. Whoever dares to betray him and make a mess with Boss, he will chase him and give a worthy punishment.” She explained.
Erina doesn’t know why but her mind went directly to Edward. He… could be in danger because try to save her. Not even a police station, they might have been cut off before they could get there.
Erina’s face turned worried. Although she is just a fake bride to Morgan, she can imagine how furious Morgan when he finds out Erina has escaped with another man.
Erina should never invite Edward to come. Inviting him same as leading Edward to his death.
“Why did you stop here?”
Erina’s shoulder jumps up when she hears Morgan’s voice come out from the back of her body. His footsteps sound clear and firm towards her.
Lana nodded to Morgan, then left them alone.
“Wha–what are you going to do?” She asked nervously.
He looks elegant and handsome in white shirt and stiff black tux.
“Apparently, you are thinking about something serious. You are not going to escape from this wedding, right?”
Checkmate.
Morgan acts like he can exactly read Erina’s mind. As if he can guess Erina’s step and that's make her getting more scared.
But, instead of being triggered, Morgan turned out fixing his bowtie calmly.
“It’s okay,” He said, “You can run away when I’m unaware, but I definitely managed to catch you back,” He said, warnly.
Erina glared at him unpleasantly.
“You really are a rude man!” She rushed.
“A rude man you are going to marry today.” Morgan answered in a calm voice and flew his hand open, providing a space for Erina's hand.
Erina didn't move any part of her body. She kept staring at Morgan's hand which could be used to beat up someone. Erina can't believe that is the same hand who pointed a gun at her.
Impatient with Erina's slow moves, Morgan grasps her hand slowly and leads it to his hand. Tied their hands.
“Get ready,” He said, giving a cue.
Erina's eyebrows get down, wondering if she should get ready for what, until the shiny flashes from the camera shots immediately greet them as they walk into the car. Morgan stepped in front of her as if he wanted to protect Erina from the reporters.
All of these things makes Erina more recognize that this is getting bigger than she expected. She isn't just marrying any man. She is married to Morgan, a successful and famous bussiness man.
Erina mostly shows her obey to Morgan through the reception. Even she didn't show her attention when Edward appeared. Erina was too scared to approach him.
She kept acting like they were a real marriage couple. On the other hand, Edward always kept his eyes on Erina's moves. Several times, Erina took her time to slightly look at Edward and clearly wanted to reach him, but Erina kept avoiding him.
“He is your friend, right?” Morgan suddenly asked when Erina secretly glanced at Edward. “You are not going to greet him?” He continues. Morgan realizes how Erina becomes more restless on his side. Even though she shows her smiles every time Morgan gives his sign, but her attention always comes back to Edward.
Erina blinks and shakes her head. However, Morgan can clearly read her mind. He tightened their hands and led her to approach Edward. Erina tries to hide her face, but she realizes that only makes her act more questionable, so she tries her best to look directly at Edward.
Edward was holding his wine and automatically straightened his back when see the couple make their move to him.
“I didn't expect you to get married today, Erina. With a person you just investigate.” Edward said. His gaze was strange as he glanced at Morgan.
Morgan clenched their hands, as if to give a sign to Erina and she immediately showed her fake smiles.
”Yes, actually we've been betrothed for a while, and I caused a storm in order to cancel our wedding.” She murmured just like what Morgan asked her to say.
The cruel man on her side has made a cunning plan to clear out his name.
Morgan smiled friendly and tied his hand through Erina's shoulder softly. ”You really are a sassy girl,” He said, mockingly.
Edward could feel a strange sense in the atmosphere surrounding them. He never turned his eyes from Erina, as if he tried to telepath her, but Erina kept avoiding him.
“Were you guys dating before?” Edward asked. He sounds humble, but a lawyer tone still flows in his voice.
Erina stares at Morgan before nodding. ”Yes, secretly.” He answered with a smile.
Which is a lie. Edward knows exactly that Erina never been dating anyone before.
“When was your anniversary?” Edward kept asking.
This time, Erina couldn't answer quickly. Her eyes look blank and confused. Neither she nor Morgan had ever discussed it before.
“Wh–what?” She answered nervously.
“Every couple must have an anniversary date, right?” Edward asked again, this time he focused his attention on Morgan.
That is a normal question, but Erina never thought that far.
“11 January.” Morgan released his voice. Erina turned to him immediately. “That's our anniversary. Now, we have to go.” He continued calmly, then led Erina to walk away.
Edward remains in silence. Didn't expect Morgan would be able to answer that question. Although he still felt the strangeness between them.
Meanwhile, Erina, with wedding dress covering his body, looks overwhelmed to match Morgan's speed.
“Where are we off to?” Erina asked. Morgan never mentioned anything about their plan after the wedding ceremony.
“Press conference,” He replied while glancing at his watch. “You have to clear up your husband's name had you soiled.”
They are seriously running a press conference. In front of the media, Erina showed her regret for her actions and served a story that had been made up. Morgan made up the story perfectly. So perfect public can accept it without any questions.
They are on their way to Morgan's mansion when it was already dark outside.
“Where are you going?” Morgan asked. The car had stopped and Erina prepared to get out immediately.
“To my room. I have followed all your commands. Now, I am allowed to get the rest, right?” She asked in demand.
“You still have one task to do,” Morgan replied. His eyes flashed suspiciously. “Your task as a wife.”
Erina could feel all of her hair frozen quickly. “Wh–what do you mean?” She asked.
Morgan grins and starts to move his athletic body closer. “I don't like a woman who pretends to be innocent. You're an adult, you definitely know exactly what to do. After all, I'm allowed to taste the bodies I've cured, right?”
