Chapter 11

Jasmine didn't follow me up to my room so I shut my door and locked it. I need some alone time to think about everything. Is Luke involved with Brett? Would Luke be like Brett and hurt me or my baby? If Luke was going to hurt me wouldn't he already have? Maybe he will be like Luke and wait a few months. The other girls left because they found love...or did they leave because of Luke. Is Jasmine involved with Luke and Brett? I don't think she is because she was shocked when I told her that I thought Luke was.

*Jasmine's POV*

Luke came in as I was asking AnnaBeth what he said. She got up and took off, I figured that she went to her room. I wanted to know what she was going to say but I figured she needs some time for herself.

I didn't know if I was ready to confront him or tell a judge and jury everything that he did to me. After hearing the baby I didn't want Brett anywhere near me or him/her. I was in my own little world and didn't notice that we was back at the ranch. "I don't know if Jasmine is home yet. There is still some daylight left if you feel like it I can show you the barn and the horses. If you don't we can head to the house and rest." I think I feel okay to see the horses, lead the way. We walked side by side until we reached the barn. He opened the door and we walked in. He points to the right where 4 stalls are and we walk that way. 'Here is Stella, Butternutter, Taffy and Sticks. Stella is the black she stands about 15 hands. Butternutter is the gray and white she stands about 16.5 hands. Taffy is the light brown and stands about 15.5 hands high. Sticks is the white and brown horse, He stands about 16 hands high."

They was so beautiful and big. I wonder what it would be like riding on the back of one. "Once the baby is born and the doctor gives you the all clear. I will teach you how to ride a horse. If you will come this way I will show you the other half of the barn." I was a little shocked..no I was a lot shocked that Luke would still want me to stay here after I had the baby. I wonder what it would be like with him teaching me how to ride. "Here on this side is the tack room, feed room and 4 extra stalls." He walked us to the tack room and showed me it then the feed room. As we walked back to the house I noticed that Jasmine was back home. That just made want to throw up.

When we got back to the house I told Luke I was going to head to my room for a few minutes. I headed to my room to relax and wrap my head around the day I have had. I went into the bathroom to run my bath water in the very pretty claw foot bath tub. I went back into my bedroom to get my pajamas. I wanted to wear something comfortable tonight so I picked out a blue tank top and a pair of plaid booty shorts.

I opted to just wear my bra underneath. I didn't want to wear panties and then after supper I would take my bra off. I shouldn't be so surprised that Brett had someone before me and killed her. He didn't love me he just used me to take out his anger. I don't want to be another statsic of abuse. Luke and Jasmine belive me so will the judge? Will I be able to tell them the whole story? I was done thinking about that right now because I was starving. I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen which smelled really good.

Luke and Jasmine was setting at the table talking and stopped when I walked in. "We have a few things we need to talk about. It might take awhile so we had Mary from the diner to bring some food. She even made us some of her famous butterschotch pie. " Luke said. Mary had done fixed out the plates and it all looked so good. Luke had a cheeseburger with fries, Jasmine had a reuben with fries. I looked where my plate was Mary had fixed my plate with a pimento cheese burger, fries, ranch dipping sauce. There was also another plate with meatloaf, mash potatoes, mac and cheese. "I didn't know what you liked and I know those are a few things that I ate and some other pregnant ladies eat." she said. I didn't know what to eat first. It all looked so good that I didn't know I was hungry until my stomach growled. "It all looks so good. I think I will start with the burger then work my way. I didn't know I was hungry until now." I told them all.

Mary said good bye and left to go back to the diner. I took my spot at the table and started eating. Jasmine and Luke looked at each other, I guess they was seeing who would talk first. I was to busy enjoying this burger to worry about what needed to be talked about. "The first thing that we need to talk about is the court date. Then we can get on to the other things that we need to talk about. Jasmine has informed me that the judge would like to get this case done and over with pretty soon. I think he wants to have date this Thrusday." Oh wow! I had no idea it would be so soon. But I guess the sooner the better so Grace would get justice for her murder. "Okay. I think I can do this." I told them.

"No there isn't really anything you can do, besides to just stay safe and yell the judge what he did to you." Jasmine said to while still eating. Okay I can do this...I need to do this. It isn't going to be easy but what in life is? After I ate my food I waited to see what else needed to be talked about. "Well since you really cannot take care of the horses. I think it would be best that you just feel free and safe here. I mean we don't won't anything to happen to you or the baby and if you went around the horses something could happen. Not that it would but it could." Jasmine was the one that told me this.
