Only when David opened the door of the hut he realized he had never loosen the grip on the staff. A strong energy radiated from that object, which had gained consistency only the moment it touched the ground; it was an intense, deep pulse running into David's cells. That staff was the tangible evidence that the knights had not been a dream or ghosts, but material beings who had passed down an important message to him.
