Raven rested her forehead on the man’s thick neck. She couldn’t imagine what would happen if one of the feeding wolves noticed them and attacked them while they were trapped underneath. They would not be able to do anything but endure the barrage of teeth. When the wolves would have had their fill of them, the two of them would certainly be dead.
Listening as the sharp blade worked its way down the length of the skin, the tension began to build. Raven knew that there was no reason for wolves to leave their food. The fallen bear would last them for days and more than likely, many more wolves would be invited to the feast. The two had to get out of there before they were the wolves’ next meal.
