Chapter Twenty
Nell only cried a tiny bit when she waved her dad off at the airport. Naomi had come with her, and wrapped her arm around her waist and led her back to the new Honda CRV Janelle had helped her pick out. It was four years old and Naomi had paid cash. Nell had every reason to believe the vehicle would last her a long time.
They climbed in and headed home. Hee, she liked thinking of Wildlife Ridge as home. Tomorrow, she would go over to Bighorn Automotive and tell Jake he had a deal. She’d try out spending some hours at an actual shop and see what she thought. If she hated it—hell, even if she just wasn’t loving it—she would quit and try something else.
