Isabella’s POV
As the night went on, we continued to dance and chat, losing ourselves in the vibrant energy of the club. Amidst the colorful chaos of the dance floor, Emily and I found a quieter corner to catch our breath and share more details about our respective encounters.
"So, spill the details, Bella. What did Adrian say to you?" Emily teased, nudging me playfully.
I chuckled, remembering the way Adrian had stumbled over his words when I feigned ignorance about him. "Not much, honestly. He tried to act all nonchalant, but I could tell he was taken aback that I didn't recognize him. It was quite amusing."
“So how do you think our plan is going?” Emily asked. “It’s going as planned, but what if he didn’t come to meet me in the dance floor?” I asked while thinking about the alternative.
“Girl! You know that’s why I picked out this dress for you. I mean take a look at yourself, you are a hot cake. Who would see your dancing and not come over.” Emily hyped me. She was always hyping me whenever I feel insecure about some certain things.
Our conversation then shifted to Emily's newfound crush, and she couldn't stop gushing about the charming stranger she had met wile I was with Adrian.
"Girl, this guy was beautiful!" Emily shouted over the loud music, her smile radiating happiness. "He even got my number. I think I'm in love, friend!" Her enthusiasm was infectious, and I couldn't help but be genuinely happy for her.
"He's an artist, can you believe it?" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling. "We talked about everything from music to travel, and he's even inviting me to an art gallery next week. I'm so excited!"
I grinned at her infectious joy. "Looks like tonight turned out to be a win for both of us. You with your artsy dreamboat, and me with my mission."
As the night continued, the music and laughter blended into a symphony of memories, making it a night to remember for both Emily and me. Little did we know, the adventures of the evening were only the beginning of the stories we would share as friends navigating the unpredictable world of love and life.
“Hey dancer!” Someone shouted so loudly. I turned my back slowly to see it was the egotistic Adrian approaching us. I just pretended to not her him If I could roll my eyes right now, I would. I just decided to do it inside.
“Is he heading our direction?” Emily asked. “I don’t even want to know.” Our uber driver came and as we were about to go into the car. A figure came to stand in front of us, and it was still Adrian gosh what does this boy want. I know I should be happy that he is approaching meaning the plan is progressing but I just want to go home right now. I cried internally.
“You didn’t even give me your number, Dancer” He said with so much pride evident in his voice. “s**t, how could I have even forgotten to give him my number?” I tapped myself mentally. And I felt Emily pinch me on my elbow.
“And why should I give you my number, huh?” I asked with a hundred percent pride in me. I felt Emily’s pinch again. I f I’m playing a game, then let the girl play it very well.
“Well, because I’d like to meet you another time.” Adrian replied, I’m sure I hurt his ego again. I laughed mentally. We heard the honk of the uber approaching and Adrian handed me his phone to put my number on it. I eventually did.
We entered the Uber and I saw Adrian’s hand waving bye to me. I followed suite and we headed home.
