I watched my son get into the car. He looked excited.
“Dad! Dad! Dad my teacher asked if you could come with me to school on Friday!” he says excitedly “Oh hello mom” he says unenthusiastically.
I roll my eyes, it was no secret that Tristan was my son’s favourite because they were so much a like it was scary he grew up without his father but somehow he was exactly like the man.
“That’s not the way to greet your mother Austin” Tristan reprimands him
“Sorry mom” Austin says looking down
“It’s okay Austin…” I said
“So why do I need to go to your school? Did you get into trouble? Did you set the teacher’s classroom on fire?” Tristan asks a series of questions
