Michael and Clarissa arrived at Sorream in the late afternoon. By the time they reached the lighthouse, the sun was already setting. Clarissa insisted on entering the lighthouse, and Michael couldn't stop her. They climbed the small stairs to the top of the lighthouse. Clarissa looked out over the vast sea. The sunlight was disappearing, and the city lights were coming on individually. Michael was haunted by the question of what Clarissa would talk about. He had asked Clarissa to speak earlier, but she seemed stalling. "Say what you want to say, Clarissa. I will listen to you.
