Clarissa sat at the window of her room, licking her lips. When in the matchmaking season, there is not a single man who thrills his heart. She, indeed, was with Loris last night. But Clarissa had no feelings for Loris. She couldn't bear to hurt Miss Ruwina's feelings, even though Clarissa knew there was no way Miss Ruwina would get Loris, the future Duke.
"Miss, Miss!" Odeth, the maid, came to Clarissa's room in a hurry.
Clarissa, who was busy daydreaming, had to stop her activities. She turned to Odeth. "What is it?" Clarissa asked.
"Miss, Mr. Loris Carson is coming!" Odeth looks so excited. Her breathing just sounded irregular. She seemed to be running to get to Clarissa's room.
Clarissa, who heard the news, got down from the window and walked over to Odeth. "What did you say, Odeth? Loris Carson?"
Odeth nodded quickly. She was so sure of her words that Clarissa felt compelled to see Loris immediately.
"Miss McLaren" Odeth called before Clarissa exited her room.
"What?" Clarissa was nervous too. But not because of happiness. She was afraid that Loris Carson would propose to her. How about Miss Ruwina? What should Clarissa do? She will not be able to break Miss Ruwina's heart.
"Lady MacLaren asked me to dress you first, My Lady," Odeth replied.
As a result, Clarissa had to dress up and put on a lovely dress just to meet Loris. Yes, Loris, her brother's best friend.
Clarissa came down the stairs. She headed to the living room. There Loris Carson was enjoying tea and cookies made by Odeth with Sharma. As soon as Clarissa arrived, Loris Carson immediately stood up. How strange. They had known since childhood but had to behave in this manner.
"What is it, Mr. Loris Carson? Early in the morning, you came to my house. Oh, sorry, I mean my father's house," Clarissa said pleasantly.
Loris didn't answer. He smiled at Clarissa. "You are so beautiful this morning, Clarissa. Are you going for a walk?"
"You call me Clarissa?" Clarissa felt a little betrayed. "I already called you Mr. Carson." Clarissa thought.
Sharma looks very happy. She immediately approached Clarissa and asked her to sit down. "Where are your manners? You have to sit down, so Loris Carson sits down too."
Sharma sat Clarissa down in front of the sofa where Loris was sitting.
"May I..." Loris asked if she could sit down, and Sharma did.
"Yes, yes. Please," said Catherine.
Loris sat down immediately. She had a reasonable manner. Very fitting as a candidate for Duke.
"I saw you had a conversation with Michael last night, Clarissa. Have you guys made up?" Loris asked, starting the conversation.
Sharma did not understand the discussion between the two of them. But she liked it when they started the conversation about her family.
"I kicked him out," Clarissa said, so the mother glared at the daughter's rude answer.
"Clarissa?" Sharma's gaze was intimidating, but Clarissa didn't care. She would still hate Michael.
While Loris laughed because Clarissa's attitude remained steadfast in hating her sister.
"Then may I invite Lord MacLaren and the family over for dinner? Incidentally, the cook in our kitchen has prepared many menus. I came at my father's request," Loris said.
"Oh, I see?" Sharma realized that this was a good sign. "We will come. I'll take Vincent and Nadia, his wife," said Sharma.
Clarissa's face looked displeased. Of course. She had to see Michael again. Yet he was trying to avoid the man.

The evening, the MacLaren family came to the residence of The Duke of Winny, Morris Carson. They were greeted by Morris Carson and his two sons as soon as they got out of the car.
"Welcome to my house, Lord McLaren," the Duke greeted kindly.
"Thank you for the invitation, Your Grace. It's an honor for me to be invited by a Duke," said George MacLaren. He looks so happy about this invitation. To be invited by a Duke was an honor in itself.
The two sons of the Duke also greeted him. Loris and Michael. Both of them are very handsome and also dignified. At least, that's what the nobles in Winny town saw.
"Lord MacLaren," said Loris kindly.
"You're so handsome, Mr.Loris Carson," said George
While the men were greeting each other, Clarissa was silent when her mother asked Clarissa to shake Michael's hand standing in front of her.
"Clarissa!" Sharma's voice screeched even though it wasn't loud. "You kept Michael waiting!"
"You're so beautiful tonight Miss . . ." Michael hadn't finished speaking, but Clarissa was blushing. "Lady Sharma MacLaren," Michael added.
Suddenly, the smile on Clarissa's lips disappeared. This man was a real bastard, and Clarissa swore she would never like this man.
After greeting each other, and of course, they had dinner. And unfortunately, Clarissa sat in front of Michael. At the same time, Loris was sitting in front of Vincent. Clarissa repeatedly looked away even though Michael had tried several times to talk to her. Clarissa's attitude annoyed her mother. After dinner, people sat in the lounge to chat while Clarissa chose to stay away. She couldn't stand being in one place with Michael.
"Why is that guy so annoying?" Clarissa grumbled. Her feet wandered. She had been to The Duke's house several times. But she never wandered into the interior of this house.
Clarissa accidentally entered a room. It was more like a bedroom. There was a large bed and also some displays on the walls.
"I'll be here until they take me home. I don't want to be with Michael!" Clarissa grumbled.
Clarissa sat on the bed. She saw a big bag near the pillow, like a bag used to store clothes.
Clarissa didn't care. Right now, she just wanted to be alone. Slowly, Clarissa lay down on the bed. She saw that this room looked rarely used.
"Sometimes people waste too much money on something they don't need. Lord Carson is too rich to have an unused room like this," Clarissa muttered.
Unknowingly, Clarissa felt sleepy, and she fell asleep in this room. After an hour had passed, she woke up.
"Oh, my God! I fell asleep!" Clarissa panicked. She is about to go out. But she was so surprised when she saw a man standing near the cupboard. The man was not wearing any top clothes. It looks like he's about to change clothes.
"Ah!" Clarissa shouted at once.
