Michael was playing pool with Loris at home. Every now and then, Loris would look at his brother, who was very serious about his billiard game.
"Are you serious?" Loris passed to Michael.
"About what?" said Michael.
"Clarissa McLaren."
Michael raised his eyebrows. He just smiled as he poked the billiard stick at the cue ball.
Loris waited for his brother to answer. But Michael didn't give any answer.
"If you're marrying her because of a scandal, it's better not to. Clarissa isn't the kind of woman who'll put up with a scandal. Don't get into a marriage that you're forced into." Loris gave his advice again.
"Why?" Michael began to respond. "Are you disappointed that the girl you wanted in the matchmaking season turned out to be your brother's?"
"Michael!"
"Loris!"
