  Damian   For several seconds after I stepped out of the bathroom, neither of us spoke.   Elara sat frozen on the sofa, staring at me as though her brain had temporarily stopped functioning.   I found that reaction far more entertaining than I should have. Then, as if suddenly remembering how to think again, she immediately looked away.   "Why are you dressed like that?"   I glanced down at the towel wrapped around my waist. "Because I just took a shower."   "That wasn't what I meant," she said. "You used my towel."   I blinked. "Yes."   "You can't just use someone else's towel."   "Why not?"   "Because it's my towel."   The argument sounded so serious that I nearly laughed. "Elara, I was covered in airport dust and had been traveling all day. What exactly was I supposed to do?
