Naytan placed her on her bed and then gave way for his wife.
"You think this is a good idea? What happens when she finds out and begins to experience changes?" Naytan asked. He was very worried about the spell. If Biyanca should loose that memory, what happens when she begins to shift and transform?
"I don't know what's going to happen, but please, trust me on this. I can't let her know. She would be in grave danger.. you know this don't you?"
"Hmm... Yes. Just give it your best shot." Naytan concluded and left the room to just the two of them.
Joy sat on her daughter's bed next to her. She stared at her daughter tears dropping her eyes. She had never wanted her child to be a werewolf. Not for anything in this world. She wanted her daughter to live a normal human life.
Alpha Damien should not have used her daughter. He should have come for her and taken her, or better still, just kill her.
Why would Damien choose to scar her daughter? Was this a way of punishing her and Naytan? He was an Alpha and had the power to kill anyone. Why doesn't he just come for her? It was she who left the pack. It was she who turned her back on Damien and left his Kingdom for good.
All these thoughts ruled Joy's mind as she stared at her daughter. If she'd come into this world directly through her, it would have all been a different story. The werewolf gene would implant on Biyanca.
She wiped her tears with her hands. She then raised her right hand over her daughter's forehead. She began to cast some spell. She learnt them from the pack's sorcerer during her early days of being a Luna. If she misses a word, her daughter may go noob and remain frozen for years.
Joy took a deep breath. She recited the spell then casted it. Her daughter's head began to glow. It turned pale yellow then light blue. Her daughter's body vibrated a little then stopped.
Biyanca opened her eyes. She turned to look at her mother.
"Hey mom, what you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be asleep?" She asked her mother.
The spell worked. Biyanca had forgotten all that happened. The wolf, the bite. The last thing she could remember was talking angrily at her dad and that she returned late.
"Mom, I want to be alone. Just let me be. Dad should probably find a better place for us to stay. I need to be where people are. Is it too much to ask?"
Joy turned her attention away from her mother, switched her T.V on and began to watch a movie. She couldn't sleep.
Joy stared at her daughter. Tears rolled her eyes again. But she was careful for her daughter not to see her. The spell worked. Her daughter has now forgotten what happened to her. The scar was now gone.
What would happen when her daughter finally begins to notices all the shifts and changes?
Joy stood up from the bed and left the room.
"Did it work? Is she fine?" Her husband asked worriedly as he sighted his wife.
"Yes. She has forgotten all that happened. You need to talk to her, but please, don't bring it up." He nodded and left.
****
"I'd never leave you Malia.. No, not for anything in the world.. Trust me, you're capable of this and you can do it.. Just trust in your instincts"
"Still watching this movie huh??"
"Hey dad.. You scared me. You should have at least knocked before entering."
"The door was open..."
"Ya, remains my favorite." Biyanca answered hiding a bottle of wine under her bed.
"Can I sit?"
"Sure. But I'm sleepy and I am so not ready for lecture dad."
"Sure girl. You know, you're just like your mom. A wolf lover haha.." Her dad said easing the environment for a free talk as he sat on the large bed.
"Biyanca, your mother and I love you and we will never trade our love for you for anything in the world." He drew closer to his daughter..
"Look, we will give you anything you need... We just need you to be more at home and focus on being a great Manager. It's not safe out there. Chizona lately is being attacked by disasters and we don't know when the next will occur... We don't pray it ever will though."
Biyanca exhaled. She paused for a moment. Yes! This was the perfect time to ask her father for a very big favor.
"I understand dad. I promise to be a good daughter from today.." She smiled in her head as though she knew that she was speaking of a Future Impossible Tense.
"That's my girl. You're all grown up and you are to make your choices you know.."
"Yes dad, about that. I've been reading some articles about company management and I'm really improving." Biyanca lied.
"Oh wow! That's great lady. What did you come up with?"
"Well, I... I do all researches in the Library and have tons of books I will bring home before the week runs out. I started out with enthusiastic public speaking.."
Biyanca herself gasped as she was surprised of the value of lies she has studied. She didn't even know where that came from. Or what public speaking entails..
"Bravo daughter..bravo. You just made me proud!"
"Dad, I've saved up a little money for myself as I realized that to be an effective Manager, your appearance matters... So..I...there's this car that is being adored by the public right now and I promise you every man will do business with you at first glance of the car as..."
"You have it. It's all yours. Let me know when you need it. Goodnight and dream big woman."
He left her room with a sign of relief and worry.
Biyanca was left in shock as her father smiled his way out.
As she lay down on her bed still a little surprised at how this moment turned out, her eyes still gazing at the TV screen, she felt a sudden strange cold breeze set in through her window. It lasted for about 10 seconds and then stopped ending with a whistle that probably came from the breeze.
Biyanca was surprised as she has never experienced this. Or maybe just once, and that was a long time ago.
She stood up quickly and ran towards her window that faced directly opposite the pool and sliding both glasses, she felt a little relived.
Her dad suddenly rushed in to check if his daughter was fine.
"Did you feel it too?" Her father looking worried asked.
"Yes, but I guess it's just a change in weather dad, it's all fine. Now I'mma get some sleep. Please lock the door on your way out. Wolves shouldn't find their way in!" Biyanca laughed and bumped on her bed placing her phone right next to her head.
Her father gently moved in, took her phone away and placed it on her reading table when he suddenly noticed the bottle of wine.
He walked up to it and picked it up. He was almost mad, but tried to be calm as it was late. Has his daughter began to drink? He didn't want to judge right away, so, he turned back and left the room.
****
"She slept already?" Joy asked her husband as he opened the door to their room and closed it behind him.
He raised his hand and showed his wife what he had picked from Biyanca's room.
"What? Are you sure she did drank that? She doesn't drink!" She lamented.
"I thought the same. Well, let's leave that for tommorow!" Naytan said and hopped on his bed.
Joy turned over and placed her body on her husband's. She began rubbing his chest softly while he still looked up, his hands behind her butt pressing softly.
"What's wrong? You don't look as happy as your handsome face is... What is it honey?" Joy asked her husband still massaging his chest. Then, she lay on it waiting for him to reply.
"It's Alex!" He sighed.
"Alex? What happened to him?"
"Well, earlier today he came to the office. He complained his company had a recession after the last earthquake that happened. I don't know but something seemed off about him. I guess..."
Naytan stopped as his wife suddenly sprang up from her bed. She walked out of him and went to the window. She suddenly began to growl angrily facing the window.
"Hey, babe? What's wrong. What's.... what's happening? C'mon talk to me" Naytan got up and began walking gently towards his wife.
"It's them again. They're back again! And this time, they're not alone. They are here for you! Leave here, hide in the basement. I'll be right back."
Biyanca growled again and jumped out of the window.
