NEVER AGAIN

THE PREPARATION

to go pee, she felt bad for him, she washed up, wore a sanitary pad and slept off, he joined her seconds later, held her close and was snoring lightly minutes later

Karen woke up, made breakfast and prepared for school, he was still sleeping, she kissed his forehead and left his house, she brought her phone out, missed calls from her parents, she called her Dad, they talked for few minutes and she promised to come home later.

She attended classes absent-minded, her bf called and thanked her for breakfast, she likes how he effortlessly appreciates even the tiniest thing she does for him, she remembered helping him take out a pillow he was struggling with while asleep, he subconsciously said a low "thank you".

She smiled at the thought.

She's got just one class and she'd stop by her workplace, she worked part-time, then she'd go to her family house.

She got home late at night, her mom was fast sleeping, her father waited up for her, they discussed on so many things, she noticed the grey hairs on his head, his side beards that ran down to his beards forming a curvy shape, his barber is good, she told him, He gave a small smile, pecked her cheek and bade her goodnight, he went up the stairs, she stood still until she heard the door slam shut.

Its been a long day, her body agreed with her as it was very exhausted and weak, she was glad it's weekend, she went to her room had a cold shower, and got busy with her books, it's been a while.

She woke up few mins to 9am, met her parents having breakfast, her mom was all smiles, she returned the smiles and pecked her mom's cheek, she sat with them.

They spent a little family time together, she left in the evening, she had made plans with her friends, an excuse she told her parents so she wouldn't spend the night for the second time, they let her go. She had plans with her friends though, tomorrow, not today.

Karen phoned her friends and they sent her an address, she was about going in when she saw a familiar car, she stared for a while, ignored it and went in anyway, anybody could own that particular brand of car.

She spotted her friends and they chatted away minutes later, forgetting they weren't alone in the bar, their voices were very loud, they discussed and laughed at each other, she noticed one person was missing, they were 5 but 4 in the bar. She asked and was told she had something to do.

They left few hours to midnight and she went straight to her man's house, it's been almost 2 days and she haven't seen him, he was busy with his laptop when she came in, she kissed him briefly and went in to shower.
