It was the 1990’s, a time of garish splendor and immediate gratification, of greed in business and scandals galore. Vintner Ricardo Cordoba and his distributor son Daniel threw lavish parties where their wine flowed freely and business deals were made in a drunken haze. Introducing a new wine was always a thrill, but this product, a new Odore Barbera, was rather thin and barely gave one a buzz.
