She woke the next morning easily but did not feel rested. She was still drained. Pearl had made her perform more blood rituals yesterday than she ever had before. She could only imagine it might take at least a week before she was back to full strength. It also meant that Julian would not let me out of his sight until that happened. As she thought about him, he stirred behind her.
