I sit alone in the penthouse. White room, high chandeliers, glowing nightlife, human greatest desires. All of what I care less about.
I can’t just get my head off the earlier incidence at the bar. Ariana face comes back to my mind. The golden curly blonde hair that sat underneath her glittering crown on the day I left her go the battlefield. The way she said the final goodbye and I wave ignorantly. Ignorant to the fact that it’ll be the last time I’ll see my jewel. But I’ll never give up the search until my last breath, not now that Julie, my seer says he confirm her soul in the human realm.
My phone rings. Davies. I do tell him to use the wolf mind connection for our communications but he seems obsessed with the human ways and technology. Lustful d**k.
I press the accept button.
“Hello, my lord.”
“You should say greetings,” I tease. “Hello sounds rather too humanly.”
“I’m sorry.”
I let out a chuckle. “It’s okay. What is the matter?”
“I think we should venture more into finding the Luna.”
I scoff. “That’s actually what I’m doing.”
“Yes.” He pause. “I just find a better place to look for her.”
“And where is that?” I ask eagerly.
“A school.”
“A school? We’ve done before and nothing came off it.”
“Now it’s different. A school were every school meet every two years for a Quiz tournament.”
“That sounds interesting.” I can feel a huge uplift of hope in me.
“It’s called Seson College.”
“Good.”
“I’ll have Rita gather everything needed to get you in tomorrow. And would you like me to join too?”
He obviously would mean no good if I let him in. He should just keep being handful when I need him, I can’t let him spoil my search with his stupid lust.
“No need. Just stay tuned every time and stop calling me on phone.”
“I’m sorry. This’ll be the last time…”
I hang up and a little smile flash across my mouth. A smile of hope. I don’t even remember when last time I’d smiled. Might be a great sign though.

“A Ferrari?!” I gasp. What is Davies thinking?
“He said it’s the best thing to maintain a luxurious impression if you want the search to be a success.” Rita, his fox girlfriend and P.A says.
It’s always Davies’s idea. He likes making reckless show offs. He brought up the bar selection idea too. I should’ve gone there as a normal person and not the 'rich client' profile that shattered everything.
“This might go sideways.” I contact him with the mind connection.
Why luxury every time.
That’s the best way to go about it. You have to be popular among them and influential.
That shithead!
“I’ll be taking it then.”
Rita hands me the key. I redo my coat and drop the backpack on the sit beside me.
I let out a deep breath. This is driving thing is one of the things that makes me feel like human, I literally can’t manipulate it. Just focus, even as an alpha.

The school gates loom before me. Seson College. Tall iron bars, old stone walls, the kind of place that has stood for decades. Students move in clusters, laughing, talking, unaware.
I park the Ferrari at the visitor's lot. The engine purrs as it dies. I sit for a moment, watching.
The campus is alive—students rushing between buildings, lecturers with stern faces, the smell of old books and fresh grass.
Somewhere in there, I think. She's somewhere in there. Even if not she’ll be here some days. I only have to be patient and alerted.
I walk slowly, taking it all in, letting my senses stretch. Human scents. Nervous energy. The buzz of young minds.
But beneath it all—
Something.
Faint. Familiar. Like at the bar.
I stop.
My wolf stirs. Not the full reaction—not the roar I'd expect if she were truly here. But a flicker. A whisper.
I follow it. Seems the witch are it for real.
The hallway stretches before me. Classrooms on either side. Voices drifting through closed doors.
I reach a room. Room 204. The door is slightly ajar. I catch a sharp feeling. Something different from the one at the bar.
I peer in. A girl and a lecturer. Seems new like me.
“Mr. Robert?” A lecturer coming into the hallway. I quickly rushed back.
“Yes.” I walk to him with a nod.
“I’m Raymond.” He walk past me. “Let’s get you to your class.”
I follow him.
Things are just getting really interesting. Who is that girl? That feeling is truly different.
He got a room and stop. I look at the door. Room 231.
“Wait here.” He enters and the class goes to decorum.
“Before starting today’s lesson, I’d like to welcome a new student to our midst.” He nods at me and I enter.
Everyone looks at me and I feel like meeting. Like it’s really different. Not like when I face a thousand wolf solider. Or when I face a hundred rogue wolf squad onward. It feels different. Their gaze. Humanly saint. And beneath it all. That pull. Like the one at the bar. Exactly the one from the bar. I look around but all I could see is a class full of human.
“It’s the Ferrari guy.” A girl from the back. Ironed uniform. Double ponytail and perfectly placed makeup. Quite the flashy and influential type. I think Davies strategy would walk this time.
“He’s really in our class.” Another one said from the other angle. “He’s handsome.”
What? Handsome?
“Introduce yourself.” Mr. Raymond says.
Rita has teach me that before I leave the penthouse earlier. I look up and straighten my back like I’m reading a conduct at the pack court.
“I’m Robert Johnson. And I’ll be happy to study with y’all.”
It’s longer than that but since I couldn’t memorize everything, she said I could stop there.
“So you’ll be sitting beside Miss Bianca Jeffery.”
“What?”
