Betty came back with a doctor, who checked my stitching. He gave me some covers to put over the dressings and gave me the go-ahead to have a shower and hair wash. As I started to get out of bed, Betty stood there seeming to be waiting for me. She followed me to the bathroom door, and when I walked in, she tried to follow me. This instantly put me on edge.
Betty must have seen something in my eyes as she backed off a couple of steps. She asked if I needed help, if I would be okay. I told her I was fine and shut the door, making sure to lock it. This made me realise someone had been in the room and fixed the door.
