Chapter Fourteen
“Sparky.” Jai Li lowered the binocs. “Take look at pod.”
Sparks reached for the binoculars. “Yeah. I wish there was some way to get it down from there and take it back to Rome. There’s got to be a ton of electronics in there.”
“Yes, but see on rocks below.”
“I see…solar panels!”
“We need, no.”
“We need, yes.” Sparks handed the binocs back to her and glanced around. He saw Commander Burbank and the other two astronauts talking to Sarge.
“Commander,” Sparks said when he hurried over to them.
“Yes, Sparks.”
Jai Li stood beside him, smiling at the commander.
“There’s solar panels up there,” Sparks said.
Everyone looked up toward the capsule.
“Yes,” one of the astronauts said. “They were stowed inside the cowling. When we hit the mountain, they popped out.”
