Louise The rain pours down for three days straight. Fox refuses to step foot outside the entire time, and he can't sleep either. From my room, I can hear him tossing and turning, his bedframe creaking into the early hours of the morning before he finally drifts off. He secretly cries every single night. I know because when he wakes up, his eyes are swollen. Elias and I talk it over and decide we have to do something. This morning Elias brings him an ice pack to soothe his eyes but Fox isn't having it. "Only girls care that much about how they look," he mutters, turning his head away. Elias just shrugs.
