Elaine wiped the frown off of her face and smiled at Damien. Meanwhile, the dark shadowed his expression from Elaine.
"I came because I was hungry. Dad told me to come here if I ever get hungry, so..."
Elaine paused and cautiously watched how Damien would react. However, there was no change in his expression. So, Elaine continued talking.
"Did I interrupt you? Were you doing something? I let myself in after seeing that the door was open. I'm sorry if I did so without your permission."
