Ace's P.O.V: She was always running around somewhere. I couldn't keep up with her. "Where is she now?" I asked Silas, feeling myself get frustrated. "In the gardens. I think she said that she was going to wait for you in the meantime and practise her magic." Of course she was. Not. "As if," I mumbled. I walked to the gardens and she caught my eye. Her hair was blowing in the wind, and her skin glowed against the evening sun going down. She was focused on the serpent in her hands, and she smiled, stroking it, and allowing it to slither into her hands. She would rather be playing with her animals than do what she was supposed to, which was practice her magic. "I see that you're practicing your magic like I had asked." I blurt out, and she almost jumps, giving me a guilty smile.
