Daphne’s POV Two days later I resumed work. The building was bigger than I remembered. In my navy blue gown and low black heels, I stood across for a few seconds, just looking at the place. People walked in and out and it made me nervous. My grip tightened on my bag as I walked in. If I stopped to think, I wouldn’t go in. And I had come too far to start running again.
