Chapter 58The mountain lurched with such sudden force, it knocked me off my feet. It did the same to Briar and threw down Guardsmen, cops, and Crossbreeds, too. Dozens toppled like bowling pins, crashing to the dirt floor...and then the mountain lurched again, even harder, and took down more. The gunfire that had been raging all but stopped, replaced by shouts and the sounds of fighters scrambling to grab up dropped weapons.
