Chapter 11.

We just spoke in the car as if we had no other place to go. I enjoyed the time I spent talking to him.

Just then, He just shouted.

"s**t!" Then I was like.

"What's wrong? Why did you shout?" Then he replied to me by saying,

"Leo has gone to see Uncle Cito! I think he has already told Uncle Cito about what's going on with the ads. This is not good!"

"Wait, who is Leo? and what does he have to do with the ads?" I asked.

"Damn it! Fred, it's over for us." Jayson said to his friend. Which was Fred.

"And as for you Bella, Leo is one of my best friends and he is part of our work. We work together." Jayson said.

"Hurry, hurry we need to get to Uncle Cito's office right away! quickly, we don't have any time to waste " Jayson said leaving me left out of what was going on.

"Please there's no time, ok, we need to go ASAP!" Fred said.

"Jayson, please can I ask you something?" I said.

"Yes, go on." He replied.

"I think you should calm down so that when we get there, we will think of how to beg uncle Cito," I said.

"Can you just shut up! Because right now, you're not making any sense at all. Rather, you are making me confused about what to do." He said.

We finally got there.

When we got there, we looked for Leo, but he was nowhere to be found. We thought he had left so Jayson gave him a phone call.

"Hello Leo! What have you done to us and where are you? Because we are at Uncle Cito's company." Jayson said to Leo on the phone.

"Jayson, so you know now, I did what was best for us. Besides, we were not going to be able to complete the project." Leo replied.

"Leo! Where are you! I want us to say whatever we are saying to our faces and not on the phone." Jayson said in a very harsh tone.

At this point, I knew that something was going to happen.

Just then, Leo replied by saying.

"I have told Uncle Cito everything" and ended the call.

"Leo! Leo" Jayson screamed and said

"No! damn it! we are finished". And I asked

"Guys what's going on, I don't understand what's going on here" and then Jayson said

"Don't you get it! Leo went ahead and told Uncle Cito that we won't be able to do the project and now the contract is gone" He said in a fit of rage.

"Don't get angry, just calm down. Everything will be alright let's go and talk to Leo and ask him why he did it" I said trying to calm him down but to no avail just then, he turned back at me and said.

"You know what! all this is because of you!" and I was like.

"Me..how?".

"Yes, you. Because if we had not gone to the hospital to see your family, I would have had time to complete the project but now I lost the project all because of you" he said as he was about to enter the car.

"And for the record, you are just an employee so mind your business and stay within your limits okay. And also, stay out of my personal life!. Also, find your way home, because I'm not going to take you home okay." And then, he drove out at full speed and I was left all alone.

I was really upset and didn't know what to do. So, I decided to go to Lala's house.

Meanwhile, when Jayson got to Leo's place, I suspected that he was going to do something stupid. He went to fight with him. Which happened.

When he got there, he just barged in and shouted.

"Leo! what have you done, you have destroyed everything!. Why did you tell Uncle Cito everything, Why Leo, why!" Leo replied and said.

"I did the right thing because if I hadn't done that, we'd still be lying to your Uncle Cito about the project. And for your information, he has already given the project to your dad"

"What!!, you betrayer I'm going to kill you, I will kill you, you betrayer" Jayson said as they began to fight.

Thank God that Fred came on time if not both of them would have sustained serious injuries. So, Fred broke them up and shouted at them.

"Stop it! stop fighting. What's wrong with the both of you? Stop acting like children. We are not even supposed to fight or quarrel right now because we are already in a serious situation. What we are supposed to do now, is to sit down and think about how we will solve the problem and probably go back to Uncle Cito and ask for a second chance. And you guys are here, wasting your time fighting."

"But Fred you know that's not going to work

because this fool here already said that Uncle Cito had given the project to my dad" Jayson said still angry

"Who are you calling a fool, you i***t," said Leo as he was about to fight again with Jayson but Fred interfered and shouted at both of them again. And he said

"Guys, stop it, come on. What are friends for?"

"This is not over! I'm not done with you ok" Jayson said as he angrily left the house.

"But you know I did the right thing?" Leo said to Fred as Jayson walked out of the house.

"Yeah. But you shouldn't have gone that far to tell Uncle Cito the truth. Besides, we were almost done with the project." Fred said.

"I know. But the way Jayson was spending the company's money was too much. Whenever I ask him for money, the only thing he says is that He cannot give the company money to anyone. But we made this company together As I contributed too." Leo explained.

"Okay. I get you, but you know how Jayson can be. So please just bear with him and let's move on. Okay." Fred added.

"Okay. I've heard you. I'll speak to him tomorrow. Maybe by then, His anger must have subsided." Leo replied as he walked Fred out of the house.

When I got to Lala's house, I told her exactly what happened at the company with tears in my eyes.

And I also told her how he shouted at me and also when he said I shouldn't enter his car home. I also told her that I was tired of the fake marriage, that I was tired of being a pretender and she said.

"Bella my dear, if you want to end the contract you can end it. I'm not stopping you from doing so, ok. I understand how you feel."

"It's not that I want to end it, it's about his character, he is too harsh. He always finds fault in whatever I do or say." I said still with tears gathering in my eyes.

And then, she told me to sit close to her and that she wants to show me something, then she went in and came out with a photo album and she said.

Mrs. Magret explained.

"Ohhh. He told me a story like this earlier today. So that's why he is being grumpy to everyone." I said.

"Yes. And that's why I'm paying you. To help him become a better person. But since you say you're tired I can understand that not everyone can manage Jayson for who he is. So, here's what I will do. I'll pay you a huge amount of money. I hope that will cover up all the sadness that Jayson had brought to you. And thank you for trying."

At this moment, I felt like crying. I never expected things to turn out like this. I saw the sorrow in Mrs. Magret's eyes. She loves her Grandson.

Thinking Through it, I concluded that I was going to back and continue with the fake marriage.

"I'll help you. I'll do my possible best to get Jayson back to normal." I said.

"No. It's okay if you don't want to." Mr. Magret said.

"I said I will help your Grandson okay. So, don't worry about him again. I'll make sure he changes before I leave his life" I assured her as if I knew what I was doing. This I said while holding her hands.

"Really!" She said with a little blossom on her face.

"Yes!" I replied.

"Thank you so much! I will double what I'm going to be paying you." She said,

"Okay," I said as I smiled at her.

"So, I'll take my leave now. see you another time." I said as I stood up and was about to leave the house.

"Ohh my dear, it's already too late can't you spend the night here?" She asked, feeling concerned.

"Ohh okay. If you say so." I replied quickly because I didn't have any idea on what to say to Jayson when I got back home.
