Chapter 7.

The Suprise...

As usual, that night we tossed a coin before choosing who to sleep on the bed. And I won!. He slept on the couch again.

The Next morning, he woke me up and told me that Lala wanted to see us.

It was as if she always wanted to be around him.

So, I got up from the bed and went straight to the window to receive early morning fresh air.

"I'll leave for the office first and then I'll come back around 1:30 pm to pick you up so that we can go together to meet Lala," Jayson said to me.

"Okay. But do I have to stay indoors all day?"I asked.

"Yes! Don't go out. Because I know you'll start telling people around that you're my wife. And I hate hearing that. So, stay at home. You can watch TV, and eat whatever you want ok".He said and I replied by saying.

"I've heard but..."

"shush! forget about it JUST STAY HOME ok". He said after he rudely interrupted me.

"Do as I say ok, bye see you later" He said as he left while waving me goodbye.

when it was already 1:45 pm I then thought to myself that I should call him so that we won't be late than we already are now.

But before I could call him he just entered the house and I said

" Welcome back Mr. Latecomer" then he replied by saying

"If I should answer you now, we will be later, so if you could just shut up and leave my front so that I can go upstairs and change, it would be better okay; The contracted wife of Mr latecomer and while I'm changing you better be done dressing up too if not I will leave you".

We were done dressing and the time was already 2:00 pm so we quickly locked the house and began our journey to Lala's house.

WhenWe got there, we called Lala to inform her that we were outside the gate of the house. So she asked her gatekeeper to open it for us and then, we went in.

When we were coming down from the car, three maids just showed up in front of us and said,

"Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton, Mrs. Magret is waiting for you inside."

They said as they took our bags and we went in.

" Hi, Lala!!" I said while rushing to hug her.

"Hi Bella, how are you and your husband," she said, and I replied by saying.

"We are doing fine, right?" I said looking at Jayson and he said.

"Yeah, yeah we are doing fine, so Lala, you said you wanted to see us didn't you?"

"Yes I did, we will talk about that later, But for now sit with me and let's talk," She said.

We talked and talked and laughed all through before the maid came and said.

" The food is served"

On hearing that, my mind clicked and I started salivating. I love eating even though the food was going nowhere in my body.

"Ok let's go and eat," said Lala then we went to the dining table to eat.

"Stop eating like a hungry lion," He said.

"Hmm. Okay." I said. But the food was delicious.

When we were done eating Jayson then asked.

"So Lala, what did you say you wanted to tell us?"

"Yeah because that's the reason you called for a visit right?" I asked too. Then she said,

"Yes, I said I want to tell you something and that something is concerning your marriage".

At first, I was scared. I thought she wanted us to divorce and end the deal, even Jayson was scared too I could see it in his face but the silence was broken when Lala said

"When I say it's about your marriage, I mean to join in the celebration of your marriage I have a small token for both of you"

"Phew!, I thought it was something else..."

I said before I was interrupted again by Jayson when he said.

"Something else like what exactly, do you have anything to do that concerns this?" and I was like.

"No no no not at all I was just imagining nonsense like always, just some dumb imagination," I said laughing very foolishly then Lala said.

"Alright, I have a surprise for the both of you".

"A surprise!" Jayson and I said in a state of shock.

"Yeah. So let's go right away". she said as she left for her car outside.

Huh! Let's go? But where?" I asked in confusion.

"Just get in your car and drive behind my car and then I'll take you to your surprise. Which is, my gift for you." Mrs. Magret Answered.

"What have you done again? where is she taking us to?" Jayson asked me as if I knew where Lala was taking us to.

"How do you expect me to know? I came here with you. Remember?" I replied.

He didn't know what to say. He just told me to enter the car, which I did. And then we started driving.

The turns on the road were too much for me to understand where we were coming from. I said nothing throughout the journey to the surprise.

Finally, we got there. We stopped at one SM street.

"Okay. We are here! Now get down and let's go." Lala said as she stood in front of our car.

"Lala, Where are we and what are we doing here?" Jayson asked.

"You ask too many questions. Just follow me." Lala replied.

So, we got down and followed her. We walked until we got to a very big mansion which was painted white and Ash color on the outside. It was very beautiful.

"Okay. Here we are! This is my gift for you and I hope I like it." Lala said, pointing to the mansion in front of us.

"Lala! Are you serious!" Jayson exclaimed.

I on the other hand was speechless at a point then after observing, I screamed.

"Oh My Gosh!! Lala! Thank you" I said as I gave a hug.

"But Lala. you didn't have to. We were fine being close to you over there!"

The house we lived in was built close to Lala's house.

"I know. But I want you guys to enjoy your marriage so that was why I kept this gift for the right time." Lala said.

"Okay! okay, can we go in now?" I said anxiously.

"Yes, we can!" Lala said while laughing.

"Wow! it's so beautiful." I said as we walked in. The house was really big. I wondered how just the two of us were going to stay in the house.

"Okay! Hello to you love birds, welcome to your new home!" Lala said as she was about to take her to leave.

"Lala..are you leaving? Thank you for the new house. I love it and I also love you." Jayson said as he gave her a tight hug. While she was there, he started asking me some questions that I couldn't understand.

"I can't understand what you are saying?" I whispered back to him while smiling.

"Ahh! My neck, it's too tight, Jayson!" His lala said as she was gasping for air.

Jayson was not even listening to her; he was focused on speaking to me about the house. So I told him.

"You are choking your Grandmother Jayson!"

"Huh. Oh okay," he whispered after hearing me.

"Hmm. Lala, you know I love you." Jayson added.

"Yes I know and I love you too. So I have to go now. Bye love birds! Enjoy your Love Nest!"Lala said as she walked out of the house with her assistant.

"Bye Lala!"I said, waving at her as she walked away.

Immediately after she left I turned to Jayson and said.

"Hello, you love bird! Welcome to our new home!" I repeated what Lala said to him as I smiled. Not knowing what was coming for me.

"Shut the Hell up! It has just been three days and I'm already tired of you. I never wanted all of these to happen! I only hired you to get my money from her and then you'll get out of my life. But now, my Lala is going to be hurt when she finds out about our marriage being fake." He said in an angry tone. Then I answered him back.

"How is it my fault that she got us a house? You said I should only act as a wife in front of your Grandmother and nothing else."

"Shut up! I didn't know that things would turn out like this. Now, my Lala has spent so much money on a house that I never wanted. I just wish that she can give me my money and all these will end. I don't even want to get married to anyone."

Hmm... I'm sorry" I said, trying to calm him down. But it didn't work.

"Keep your sorry to yourself!" He said as he went upstairs.

'What is wrong with him? I'm not going to say anything because I'm doing this for his Grandmother.' I said to myself as I stood there in shock.

I quickly gave his Grandmother a call and told her what had just happened. She replied and encouraged me to continue and bear with him because she needed him to believe in love by all means.

She also said that she was going to get someone to bring your luggage from the old house to our new house.

"Okay. I will keep up with the action just because you are helping my family and also because I want to help bring out the good side of Jayson." I said.

"Thank you, my dear. And don't worry about your family. I will continue to help them in whatever way I can." Lala said.

"Okay. Bye!" I said as I disconnected the call.

immediately I disconnected the call, I was thinking of what to do, either I'll go back to the room and check on him, or I'll just wait for him to come down.

So, I decided to go back to the room, and then on reaching there, I immediately put on an angry face pretending so that he'll cheer up.

So I sat down on the bed thinking of how I would speak to him. Because he was operating his phone on the couch.

Just then, he got up and started coming to the bed.

The day passed and the night came and he still didn't say a word to me.

'Wait, why do I even care? He doesn't like me anyway and I'm not here to fall in love, rather, I'm here to make someone believe in love.'
