★ George I could hear Gina's giggle from the stairs till I climbed fully to the passage. I cared less as I saw her door widely opened and I had already passed, almost entering into my room when I heard her say, "wait you're coming, Anna don't play with me?" I halted on my tracks. We both knew only one Anna. Anna Presley. Was she coming over? Today? When exactly? I wanted to bombard my twin with all those questions, but I couldn't risk looking weird or the least interested. So I walked into my room and shut the door, but curiosity had me twisting my door knob open and walking into Gina's room. I waited for her to finish her conversation and end the call. I hadn't seen a sign of Anna after she transferred schools in high school. The next I saw and heard of her was on i********:. I came across her page and I wasn't stupid to follow her, but I knew I went through her wall almost every night. She grew up beautifully well more than I had expected. She'd been the brightest in school. A bit nerdy like Gina but certainly crazy and a bunch of fun. Gina ended her call and I cleared my throat. "What?", she glared. Trust me, we're the sweetest twins, we're not always like this. "Anna?", I asked trying my best to sound uninterested. "Yeah what?", Gina almost bore holes into my body with her eyes. "She's coming around? Here in Oakdale?" "What do you want George?" "Nothing! I asked a harmless question! Don't even bother answering!", I snapped and walked back into my room, regretting it almost immediately. I should have endured and gotten my answer. I knew Gina would laugh and of course her annoying laughter followed, but my excitement had started. I waited two whole weeks before today and when Gina had asked me to pick Anna up for her, I almost jumped and hugged her. "It's just a favour. I have somewhere to be George. I can't keep her waiting and she doesn't want the driver to know this place", Gina had begged me this morning at around 9:50am. I had no plans for the day. I was so free. I cleared my throat. "Ask someone else", I rolled my eyes hoping she'd not take that option but she seemed like she was about to as she got out her phone. "Where is she now?", I asked looking away. I could feel Gina's grin. "She'd be waiting at the beach. She left around 8, she should be here by 11, if there's no traffic", Gina sounded, "thank you so much okay. Don't keep her waiting. Just bring her home, she'd be staying with us for a month". I wasn't expecting the last part. Gina blew me a kiss and hopped out. Anna. Anna Presley. No. Annabel Presley was coming to live with me.... I mean us... Live with us....for a month!!!! "A whole month!!!", I yelled and Gina popped her head back in, scaring me. I didn't know she hadn't left. "Any problem?" "No. A month is just too much", I smiled and she rolled her eyes and left. At exactly 10:50am, I had arrived at the beach. I couldn't help but imagine what she'd look like asides from pictures that went through so much editing. A car arrived at exactly 11, and the driver stepped out. I simply guessed it was her with all the tinted windows and the way the driver was donned in a black suit and all. I exhaled to maintain my cool and walked up to meet the driver after which he went to knock on her window, and when she winded down, the goddess had my heart skipping five beats. "Anna", my lips incoherently mumbled and I held back my excitement. When she alighted, what I felt is a description for another day. Her fair skin was calling out to me and when the sea breeze had her hair covering her face, she looked so much like a distressed princess calling out to me her knight in shining armor but I wouldn't show that. Instead, like a programming inside of me, my lips parted and I voiced with a laugh, "you looked stupid". Good riddance George!! What? I simply missed our teenage banter. ★Anna The drive was quiet, and I did my best to avoid staring and gaping at George's alluring features. He said no words to me either until we got to the restaurant. "This is new", I wowed at the place. "We're not stagnant Ms. New Islands", he mocked and I simply rolled my eyes before putting on my glasses and scarf - a mini disguise. I don't know how long I'm gon' disguise for, but I know if Chris should come here before the wedding day, Gina could kiss bye bye to a simple wedding. The thought of Chris was already ruining my mood until George's voice reached me, "ain't you coming?" I realized I was still seated in the car. I alighted and followed him in. The place was actually large with lots of demarcation but George drew me towards the African dishes meanwhile I would prefer Chinese. "Ever tasted Nigerian jellof?", he asked and I've heard of it, but no. I shook my head. The waitress standing by the entrance greeted us and George didn't hesitate in saying, "vip please". Okay, that was a little cute. He was considering my disguise. She led us towards a hallway and after that she left us in the hand of another waitress who led us into a small room and took our orders of the so-called Nigerian jellof before stepping out. "I'm on diet George." "Oh please. You could eat an elephant and still not add. You were made to be slender", he smiled. Okay, that wasn't completely a lie but still. She returned with the wine we'd ordered and the Nigerian jellof. The aroma was inviting. My stomach growled again. She placed our order and left. I stared at George and took off my glasses and scarf. "And there is that beautiful face I know", he winked and I swallowed my spittle, grabbing my glass of wine completely drowning it. "What? You grew up fine" "George" "Sorry", he chuckled. "Let's eat", he smiled and gestured towards my plate. I picked up my spoon and dug in. The first was heaven in my mouth. It was really tasty. "You can thank me later", he chuckled at my expression and began eating. We both ate in silence until we were done. I really needed that meal. My phone beeped and looked at it. It was my mom. I opened the message and regretted almost immediately. "YOU LEFT WITHOUT CHRIS?!!" - it read and I didn't bother replying. "What do you want to do next?", George asked. "Go home" "Why?" "To be away from you", I scoffed "I'm the only one at home" , he grinned. "Just take me home George. I need to lay my head and thanks for the meal" , I mumbled the last part, putting back on my glasses and scarf, but he stretched his hand to me. I arched a brow ,"what?" "Your card. Who do you think will be paying? Me? ".
