CHAPTER NINETEEN She went directly to the Legion Hall, which was located on the western edge of Belton. It sat off of the highway, situated in the midst of a paved parking lot that was in desperate need of repair. When she parked in the lot at 2:05, she only saw five cars in the parking lot—one of them apparently belonging to the man she saw sitting on a riding lawn mower, making a lap around the back lawn.
