Kyou started to take off after her but Toya grabbed him by the wrist to stall him with one unanswered question. “Kyou… you won't let her do it… will you?” Toya held his breath as Kyou slowly turned.
“We can talk later…” he said softly not wanting to lie to his brother. “She was alone the first time she faced the demon.” His eyes hardened knowing he would have to put Kyoko in mortal danger. His gaze flashed around them knowing they had to hurry. “Time is running out.”
Toya’s breath suddenly left him as the memories came once again of losing her to the monster the first time. He could still see her lying in her own blood with a dagger embedded deep within her heart. “No, I can’t lose her again… I won’t allow it!”
Kyou gritted his teeth as he reached out and grabbed his brother by his neck
