Magical Hearing

Seeing her brother running, Fiona also followed him and left Axel. She immediately approached Filio who was wiping his tears right in front of the bakery where Caitlin worked. “Why are you like that, Filio? Aren't you the one who misses Dad the most?” Fiona asked Filio. "Nonsense! Who misses him!” muttered Filio, looking away. There were tears in the corners of his eyes, but from his mouth, he still denied the fact that he loved his father very much. All this because Filio, as an older brother, often witnessed how rude his father was to his mother. There was a big wound in his heart, which was difficult to heal on his own. He just wanted to see his mother treated well and happy. "You can't lie to me Filio, we're twins!" Fiona answered. “If you know, don't say anything to Mom! Don't tell her we met Daddy!” said Filio. “But Daddy has come, he means well and even gave us money!” Fiona answered. “Do you want to make our mommy be sad? Do you think our mom would be happy to hear about his existence? They are divorced, Fiona! Save the money and shut up!” said Filio. Fiona exhaled, put the money her father gave her into her pocket, and walked away with a sad face. She wanted to talk about her father, but that was what her twin brother said. Their parents were divorced. Some things would only make her mother sad. They had already had a hard enough day without a father around, so what happened just now wouldn't have any effect. In a different place, Axel walked away. He started thinking hard about how he could get money without gambling. He didn't even have money for food, he even gave all the remaining money he had to Fiona earlier. He has to work! Looking for a job is something he has to start doing. Axel started thinking. Gradually he began to remember his old friend. “Yes, William, he can help me!” William, this man, was Axel's friend in high school. Friends who are quite close and always have a positive vibe. It's just that, since Axel often drank and gambled, William avoided him. That was also because Axel often owed him and used him for gambling. William repeatedly wanted to try to give him advice, but Axel never wanted to listen. Axel knew that William might be reluctant to hang out with him anymore, but of all the friends he was close to, only William was not a drunkard and didn't like gambling. William worked as an office employee at a private company. Axel was sure that during the rush hour the man would be in his office. Coming to the front office area, Axel said he wanted to meet William. "Have you made an appointment with Mr. William?" asked a woman. "Not yet, Miss, we are old friends and I want to say hello," answered Axel. "What is your name?" asked the woman. “Axel! Axel Calvin!” The woman started to make a call, but her facial expression began to change, and she began to answer Axel's request. "I'm sorry, Mr. William is busy. He can't be bothered today, so you can go home," the woman answered. "Busy? But I'm Axel, his school friend!" Axel confirmed. "Sorry, Mr. William is busy. He can't be bothered, so please go home. "Sorry I can't help, I'm working," said the woman in a dismissive tone. Axel was silent, he was starting to be disappointed because William was avoiding him. He hadn't seen William for a long time. The last time he saw him, William was annoyed with him. “Is he still upset? Good grief!" muttered Axel, who preferred to sit in the waiting room. Axel started to sit bored, he had nothing else on his mind apart from meeting William that day. For about two hours he sat there, reading the daily newspapers that had piled up there. It turned out that Axel's attitude was enough to attract the attention of William, who was secretly observing him from a distance. "What do you want, Axel?" said the man, finally coming out. Axel looked up, he didn't expect his friend to be standing in front of him. “Hi, William! How are you?" “Don't mince words! Do you want to be in debt? Go home! "I won't owe you anything. I told you I didn't like you gambling," answered William. “You misunderstand, I don't want to be in debt. Is there work here? I need it, I will mean it!” Axel answered. "Work? At my place? Are you sure? There are always vacancies here, but trivial jobs, odd jobs, clerk, cleaning service, coffee photographer, are you sure you want to do it? The salary is daily, not as much as the money you bet when gambling!" William answered, underestimating. “I will, I will do all the work. "Don't worry, I will protect your name and do my job well," answered Axel, smiling. “Gosh, who are you? Did you hit your head? Are you drunk? Could it be that you are involved with the mafia and need money?" William said, immediately confused. “No, I just need a job to support my life. "I don't drink or gamble anymore, I will work seriously," answered Axel. "What happened? Are you sick? Do you have cancer?” asked William, who looked worried about his friend's attitude which had changed so much. “I'm very healthy, I'm fine, William. I just want to change," explained Axel. “Wow, what happened? Is it because of Caitlin? She's mad at you?” asked William, "We are divorced." "Good grief! What happened? Oh, no way! You are a loving couple. I have often advised you to leave all your bad habits! She must have divorced you because she was fed up with you!” William guessed. "What's worse is that I divorced her." “Are you serious? You! Gosh, I can't say anything. Why? Are you cheating?” asked William. “No, I'm a loser. "He'd better not be with me for his good," answered Axel. “Then what about you? Are you okay?" "No, I'm like a living corpse, yes I'm dead." "Are you crazy? Are you out of your mind?" “Yeah, it seems like I've gone crazy. Therefore, help me get a job so that I can return to my senses." “Gosh, Axel. OK, you're accepted, when do you start working?" asked William. “Do you get anything to eat when you work here?” asked Axel. "Yes, you have." "Okay, I'm working starting today." "Don't tell me you don't even have money for food." "You are indeed a fortune-teller." "I hate my intuition, gosh Axel. You make me speechless. Follow me, Bro." "I'm starting work?" "No, let's eat," answered William, putting his arm around his shoulder. Once again, Axel began to listen to voices, the voices of other people who happened to come into contact with him. “You stupid guy! You're such an i***t, Axel!” William's inner voice was heard cursing him with a friendly smiling face.
