Grace

That afternoon, Axel tremblingly remembered everything, what seemed like a dream but felt real to him. All the details of the accident, Caitlin's cries, and the terrible grip of Hell's guardian angel. It might all have been a dream, but Axel checked the car window and saw his neck. Right where the terrible creature had grabbed him, Axel's neck was red and painful. “Oh God! So, you give me a second chance. Thank God!" said Axel, still shaking and feeling blessed. Gathering consciousness and remembering how much his ex-wife cared about him. The first thing Axel wanted to do was immediately meet Caitlin. Axel got up, quickly returned to Steven's room, and immediately woke up his friend. “Steven, I have to go! Steven!” Axel tried to shake his drunk friend. Steven's friend is also still under the influence of alcohol. The man drank much more than him last night, and he will have difficulty sobering up. Once he wakes up, Steven will start whining like a baby because his body hurts all over. “Seems like a stupid idea to wake you up,” Axel complained. He started to sigh. Axel realized that hanging out with Steven was not having a positive influence on him. The drunken man even passed on all his jerkiness and added trouble to him. "Why can I be friends with you? You were still drunk on the day I died," he grumbled. Axel wrote a piece of paper and placed the key on top of the paper warning about Steven's broken car brakes. Axel left. This time he didn't want to spend his money, he didn't want to gamble anymore. Gambling only messes up his finances, he will not be able to win and get money from gambling. Axel walked towards the bus stop, got on the city bus, and went to his ex-wife's work. He remembered that Caitlin cried over his death and said that she still loved Axel. But they are already divorced now. Axel even slapped her in the face when he was under the influence of alcohol. “My God, how stupid I was! What should I do now? "I messed everything up," Axel muttered regretfully. Axel got on the city bus, but at the same time, a male student also got in and hurriedly hit Axel until several of his books fell on the bus floor. "Gosh, I'm sorry sir," he said. "No problem," Axel didn't grumble, instead, he did something good and started helping the student collect his scattered books. "Thank you," said the student, accepting the book from Axel and their hands accidentally touched. “Hope I'm not late! All this because of Mom, if only she had woken me up earlier!” A voice began to be heard. Axel observed the student. But it was very clear that the student didn't even open his mouth. Axel looked left and right. He began to feel horrified because, perhaps, after rising from the dead, he could hear the voice of a curious spirit. Axel sat down, he felt scared and covered his ears until no more strange voices could be heard. He began to sigh, mentally organize himself, and began to focus on going to find Caitlin. After arriving, Axel hurriedly got off the bus and started walking slowly. He began to doubt what he was doing. How could it not be, that they are divorced. Meeting an ex-wife as a man who is known to be a loser and a jerk is embarrassing. Express love? Expect Caitlin to come back with him? All of that is a dream that is very far from reality! What was certain was that the woman could immediately slap him when she saw his face. With mixed feelings, Axel's feet finally arrived at the bakery where Caitlin was a waitress. He stood at a distance without daring to come in to say hello. The small bakery created an open space for guest service at the front. It was very clear that Caitlin was walking busily back and forth arranging the bread and looking deft. “If it's like this, what can you do, stupid man? Ask her to come back with you. You have to look in the mirror! "She looks much better without you," Axel muttered, starting to feel insecure. Standing in the shadow of a tree, Axel watched his ex-wife for some time. Smiling sadly, and maybe he was there for quite a long time like a strange man observing someone's movements. However, the longer he was there, the more he lost the courage he mustered up to be able to step foot and meet his ex-wife. "Dad!" called a little girl's voice. “What are you doing here?” asked another little boy's voice. “Fiona, Filio!” Axel was shocked when he saw his two twins looking at him suspiciously. “Does Dad want to bother Mom again? Mom is happy and calm working at the bakery! Do you want to ask Mommy for more money to gamble?" shouted Filio, who immediately stepped forward to block his father. "No, Son. I wouldn't do something like that!" answered Axel. "Do not lie! Bad guy you! So what are you doing here? I won't let you do anything rude to my mother, face me first!" the little man snapped so boldly. Axel was stunned, he didn't even know that his little boy had such a tough character. He began to remember how harshly he had treated the two children. They even considered Axel a threat. “You misunderstand, Filio! I don't want to bother your mom. "I'm sorry for being bad to your mommy and to you," said Axel, lowering his body and starting to speak softly. "Nonsense! Do not lie!" said Filio, who was still very alert and pulled his younger sister to stand behind him. “You don't have to believe me, I know I'm too bad for you to believe it! "I'm not a good father, I'm sorry," answered Axel. Filio's round eyes were still narrowed, while the innocent Fiona was starting to look at her father with pity. Axel wanted to hug his two children, but he was sure he was not the person who deserved a warm hug from his children. "Then what are you doing here, Dad?" Fiona asked. “I just want to see your mother from afar. "I want to apologize to her, but I'm sure she hates me," explained Axel. "You're right! Mommy will never forgive you! So you just go home!" Filio shooed him away still roughly. "Don't be like that, Filio, he's our father too!" said Fiona, wanting to quell her brother's anger. "I don't want to think of him as Dad!" Filio replied, looking away. "You!" Fiona seemed to be starting to get annoyed. "Never mind, Fiona, I was mean to you guys. "Naturally, Filio is very angry with me, this is my fault, so I can understand," answered Axel. "Dad, if you want to apologize to Mom, you just have to come to her and tell her honestly that you're sorry!" Fiona suggested. "I couldn't see your mother's face up close, I'm a bastard, I'm very sure your mother hates me, and she'd rather not see my face," answered Axel. “Yes, Dad is right. Every day I hear her cursing you, Dad! She hates you, and so do I!” Filio answered. Fiona immediately covered her twin brother's mouth, as if she wanted to tell him that what he said was very cruel. "It's okay, Fiona, I know that Filio is telling the truth. "I suck, it's natural he hates me," answered Axel with a sad face. “No Dad! Nobody hates you, we all love you, please go home, come back to us, and we will be together again!” Fiona answered. "What do you mean? He has already divorced our mom! Do you know about divorce? You don't even know what divorce is and are talking nonsense!” replied Filio, who immediately let go of Fiona's hand which was covering his mouth. "So mom and dad are divorced?" asked Fiona, who didn't know the condition of her parents' relationship. Filio was silent, he began to realize that his younger sister didn't know yet and seemed to still really love her father and was starting to be disappointed with all the facts he was saying. “Fiona, don't be sad, dear. I will try harder, and I will find a job and come back to you. Dad loves you guys so much! Here, take a little from me!” said Axel, giving her the remaining money he originally wanted to use for gambling before the day he died. “Don't accept it, Fiona! It must be gambling money!" stopped Filio from pushing away Axel's hand. “No, this is the money I earned from a good job. I've never even won when gambling. Accept it, kid. "At least this little money can help you buy food these two days," said Axel. Fiona received a gift from Axel. The man's face immediately smiled with calm eyes and stroked Fiona's hair gently. He wanted to stroke his son's hair, but the little boy immediately moved away in an attempt to reject his father's affection, which was considered too late. “Okay, I'll go first. Take care of yourselves, take care of your mommy, I love you all, Kids!" said Axel. “Stupid Daddy! Why are you leaving? You shouldn't have gone! You should hug me!” Axel was shocked, he heard Filio's voice without even seeing his son open his mouth. The little boy just stood at a place quite far from his reach and folded his arms across his chest in an attempt to defend himself. Axel began to realize he could hear the voice of his son's heart. “Filio! Come here, kid! "Daddy wants to hug you," said Axel. "No! I don't need your hug! I don't want to see you! Go away!" shouted Filio, who immediately ran away. Faintly, a voice could be heard from behind his small body that hurt Axel's heart. Filio's little heart screamed. “I'm sorry Dad! I am so sorry!" he shouted in his heart.
