Ruthless – Chapter 3: Fragile Threads of Vengeance
Abir didn’t waste a second, shutting his laptop and heading out of his room with swift, determined steps. He entered a room two doors down, where two nurses were rubbing Anvi’s arms and legs. She was trembling violently, her eyes rolled back in fear and pain.
Abir hurried to her side, placing a gentle yet firm hand on her head.
"Anu… Relax. Nothing has happened. Look at me. Open your eyes! I’m here. No one can hurt you while I’m here!" he said, his voice heavy with anguish.
But Anvi continued to tremble, her lips moving faintly as if murmuring, though her words were incomprehensible.
Abir ordered the nurses to step aside and gently took hold of Anvi’s shoulders, pulling her upright and holding her close to his chest. He rubbed her back softly and stroked her hair, his tone calm yet desperate. Gradually, Anvi’s trembling subsided, and she fell into a deep sleep.
Only then did Abir’s tense heart find momentary peace. His fiery gaze turned to the nurses as he barked,
"Call the doctor!"
The sheer intensity of his voice made the nurses tremble. One stammered out a nervous response,
"Y-yes, sir."
Abir’s gaze softened as he turned back to Anvi’s now peaceful face, her innocence marred by whatever horrors she had endured.
Through gritted teeth, he vowed,
"I promise, Anu, whoever stole your innocence will lose everything—every breath they take. I’ll burn their world to ashes."
His tone was so deadly it seemed he could set the world aflame with his rage alone.
---
Just then, Rishaan entered the room, his voice hesitant.
"Bhai!"
Abir shifted his focus from Anvi to Rishaan, noticing the tears glistening in his brother’s eyes as he glanced at Anvi’s fragile form.
Rishaan approached the bed, placing a gentle hand on Anvi’s head before addressing Abir,
"Mom is calling us for lunch downstairs."
Abir’s response was cold and measured,
"Mom shouldn’t know about Anvi’s condition today. No discussion. Understand?"
Rishaan nodded silently, glancing one last time at Anvi before following Abir out of the room. Together, they headed to the dining area.
---
At the Dining Area
Abir’s father, Arjun Arya, and his youngest sister, Inaya, were already seated. Inaya, a cheerful and lively 20-year-old, shared her twin Rishaan’s age. Her cute, bubbly personality often brightened even the darkest days.
As everyone began eating, Abir maintained his usual composed demeanor.

Meanwhile, Suffering Elsewhere
Saksham’s condition worsened with every passing moment. Bound and helpless, his thoughts were consumed with worry for his sister Charvi.
His voice thundered with anguish,
"ABIR ARYA!"
The raw pain in his shout echoed through the space.
Abir, who was calmly enjoying lunch, heard this outburst through his Bluetooth headset. A wicked smirk played on his lips as he savored the moment, unbothered by Saksham’s despair.
---
At Abir’s Private Mansion
Charvi was being held in Abir’s private mansion. She ran ahead, trying to evade the bodyguards trailing behind her.
One of them shouted,
"I said stop!"
But Charvi shook her head furiously, continuing to flee until two guards blocked her path. They grabbed her hands and immediately called Abir to report her behavior.
---
Abir, who had just finished lunch and moved to his study, heard the news and felt a surge of rage. His face hardened, his jaw clenched, and he bolted out of the house, driving at breakneck speed to the mansion.
By the time he arrived, Charvi had once again slipped from the guards’ grasp. Bound by Abir’s orders not to harm her, they were unable to restrain her properly.
Standing at the doorway, Abir’s piercing gaze fell on Charvi as she ran. His voice thundered,
"What is this nonsense?!"
The bodyguards froze in terror at his outburst.
Hearing his voice, Charvi stopped in her tracks and turned. Her eyes met his, and without a second thought, she ran straight to him, throwing her arms around him in a tight hug.
Abir froze. His eyes widened in shock, his heart pounding erratically at her sudden action.
For a moment, he didn’t know how to respond. His hands remained at his sides, neither embracing her nor pushing her away.
Two minutes later, he snapped back to reality and roughly pushed Charvi away. She stumbled, falling to the floor, but quickly got up and grabbed his hand, pulling him toward the exit with surprising determination.
Abir stared at her in confusion. He knew Charvi could speak—after all, she was Saksham’s sister, and Saksham had often spoken about her.
Abir had never met her before, but he had pieced together bits of her personality from Saksham’s stories.
Lost in his thoughts, Abir allowed Charvi to drag him. She pointed toward a car outside, her actions pleading.
Abir’s eyes narrowed as realization dawned. His lips curled into a devilish smile as he said,
"You want to meet your brother?"
Charvi nodded furiously, her wide eyes filled with desperation.

Meanwhile, in the USA
Two men sat in a dimly lit club, drinks in hand.
One took a sip and chuckled darkly,
"Two birds with one stone… this is just perfect!"
The other grinned wickedly,
"Abir Arya and Saksham Singhania—friends whose bond was once legendary—are now sworn enemies."
The first man smirked.
"And who better to destroy than those who dared cross us?"
They laughed maniacally, reveling in their sinister plans.
