Chapter 11

Amelia's POV

We were watching the movie when Noah decided to join us. We were now watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and were laughing at Ron's silliness.

"Guys who's your favourite character?" Jason asked us suddenly. "Mine would be Ron. He is so funny." Avery said as we all agreed.

"Mine is Harry Potter." I said thinking. "Mine is definitely Severus Snape" Noah said. We watched till the movie was over.

"Ok guys. I'm bored. Lets play a game." Avery said. I looked up and saw it was almost 10pm. "What game?" Noah asked quizzically.

"Truth or Dare." I laughed at it. Of course she wants to play that game. We nodded our head in agreement.

We sat down in the floor in a circle and took the empty bottle. We let it spin and it landed on Avery. "So truth or dare baby?" Jason asked her.

"Dare." she said making my eyes go wide. "Ok fine. Stand up and dance." Jason making me gasp. Avery hated to dance. She hates it so much. She glared at him angrily.

But still stood up. Jason played a random song to which Avery danced. After few minutes she stopped as the song came to a stop.

We spin the bottle and it landed on Jason. Avery smirked at him. "Truth of Dare?" she asked him. He gulped and said dare. He had no other choice.

The game went on few more times and it kept going to them. Finally it landed on Noah. "So Noah truth or dare?" Avery asked him.

"Truth." he chose. "Who is the most beautiful girl you have seen?" Avery asked. "And the truth only." she added. He gulped and hesitated.

"Amelia." he said making my eyes go wide. After registering what he said, I started to blush profusely. Jason started to whistle while Avery starts to hoot.

After few seconds we continued the game. I kept picking truth, not daring to do any of the dare. After playing some more time, we fell asleep without realising.

The next morning.

I woke up to my alarm ringing. I was sleeping in the floor. Amelia and Jason was hugging and sleeping together in front of me.

I turned to the other side and saw Noah was sleeping at the right side of me. I blushed and quickly stood up. It was 5.30 am.

"Noah wake up." I called trying to wake him up. "Five more minutes mum." he groaned turning the other side. I laughed at that. He thought I was his mum.

"Noah wake up. Come on." I shook him awake. He groaned and open his eyes. When he realised where he was, he quickly woke up.

"I am sorry." he whispered. I laughed it off. "Its ok. I waked you up because you said you had patrol shift." I said . His eyes went wide and quickly stood up.

"s**t I totally forgot. Thanks for reminding." he said walking out the doors. "Oh and thank you for yesterday. I really enjoyed myself." he said before walking out the doors.

I nodded my head and went to wake up Avery and Jason. "Guys wake up. We are gonna be late for college." I said waking them up.

They groaned and woke up. I quickly took my stuff and went to bath. I wore a black plaid skirt and tucked in an oversized t shirt and put on my boots.

When I came out and both of them were still sleeping. "Guys come on. Its time for college." I said pulling them up. They groaned and woke up. They luckily brought their stuff to change.

Each of them took turns and showered. I waited for them and soon we were done. Taking our bags, we went for college. We took their cars and Jason started to drive.

I looked out for him, but he wasn't there. I sighed and turn back. It has become a routine. I will always look for him in the field, sometime I'll find him there. And other times I don't.

I kept thinking about the war that's is about to come. I wish I could do something to help. I offered my help to Nathan but he said it was too dangerous.

I have learnt combat fight back in England. That is how I was able to dodge the rogue the other day. Maybe I can help to fight. But Nathan was right. I need to stay here and protect the pack also.

Whatever that is going to happen, I hope Xavier will be alright. I sighed when we reached our college. This is one place I feel normal. I don't have to worry about my mate rejecting me. I don't have to think about the war.

I am happy that I decided to go college. In a few years I can become the pack Psychologist. That is if Xavier agrees.

We sat in the bench as the professor started his lesson.

Two days later.

The war is tomorrow. I can't help but be worried. I am so scared for the pack and my mate. I really don't want anything happening to them.

If I could, I would stop the war from happening. But I can't. The witches were getting out of hand. They need to be taught a lesson.

They had kidn*pped a small boy and carved a message in his hands just to prove a point to us. When I heard that my blood started to boil.

They were hurting innocent people. People from my pack. I got so furious. I have never gotten this angry before. It must be the Luna instincts.

Currently the Elders, Xavier, Nathan, the Gamma, Delta and head warrior were in Xavier's office going through the plan again.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I heard Nathan's voice. I turn and saw him standing at my door. I sighed and smiled sadly at him.

"Thinking about tomorrow." I said shrugging my shoulders. "I don't want anyone from the pack getting hurt." I said honestly.

He sighed before sitting next to me on my bed. "I am not going to lie. There are going to be casualties. You can't expect no casualties in a war." he said honestly.

I agreed with him. "W-Will he be fine?" I asked him stuttering. He knew who I was talking about. "He will be fine. He's the Alpha King." he said boasting about his best friend.

I laughed at him. "What are you doing here anyway?" I asked him surprised. "The Elders asked me to bring you."

"Me? Why?" I asked shocked. Why would they want me? "They thought since you are the Luna, you should know what's going on." he said. I sighed and nodded me head.

We both walked to Xavier's office. I could smell his scent already. I sighed as we entered. Everyone's head turn to us except his.

"Come on in, Luna." the Elder said. I nodded my head and entered. Everyone greeted me except him. He ignored the fact that I was even there. I sighed feeling hurt, being ignored by my mate.

The Elders started explaining. It was confusing at first but soon I understood. "We wish we could lessen the casualty counts." the Elder said finish, sighing.

Everyone was thinking hard and so was Xavier. I thought of something when I had idea. "May I?" I whispered. Xavier scoffed, but the elder glared at him.

"Please do child." he said smiling at me. "According to the plan the witches are attacking from the south and we are attacking them from North right?"

He nodded his head. "Why don't we have some of the warriors come in from east and west in their wolf form? It would catch them off guards hence we will have lesser casualties?"

When I said this, everyone stood there frozen. "T-That is actually a great idea." One of the Elders said. They quickly start working a plan to see if it will work.

"She is right. We will have so much lesser casualties." "Thank you so much child." the Elder said to me which I nodded my head and smiled.

Nathan gave me a side hug and smiled at me. "That's so smart of you baby sis." I smiled at him. The Elders started telling everyone the plan as I listened to what he has to say.

Here we come witches.

Chapter 12

Amelia's POV

Today is the day. Today is the day everyone will be going to the war. I was starting to get worried. I really hope everything will go according to the plan.

Everyone was in the field as they said their farewells, hoping they would be seeing their families again. I cried seeing them. The war is going to start in awhile and they had to go.

I searched for Nathan and he was talking to Angela. Angela looked like she is going to cry anytime now. I walked towards them. Once Nathan saw me, he pulled me in for a hug.

"Come back safe big bro." I said almost tearing up. "I will baby sis." he said pulling back. "Both of you be safe. Both of you know what you guys have to do right?" Nathan asked as we nod our heads.

"Good. Be safe both of you." he said smiling sadly at us. "Nathan you ready?" I heard his voice. When I looked up, he was looking around. Nathan nodded his head and went to the front with Angela following him.

Xavier was about to go to. With all the courage left I stopped him. "Wait." he turn around. "What?" he asked harshly. I flinched at his tone yet said the words needed to be said.

"I know you don't like me and I understand that. But please come back safe." I said the words that I was dying to say. He looked taken back but nodded his head and left.

"Today, we are fighting for our family, our children and pack. We will win this for our Kingdom!" Nathan shouted as everyone cheered.

I stayed right at the back. I was observing everything. I couldn't form words. Even without realising I formed a bond with the pack. And seeing them like this made me sad.

Soon everyone left for the war. I was hoping, Xavier would turn around once and look at me. But nope. I sighed and got ready to do as I was told.

"Everyone come on, go to the secret room." I said ushering them inside. Everyone started to go in. The women and children were in a separate rooms.

Angela decided to be with the women and I will be guarding the children. There were guards outside the palace guarding.

But knowing the witches, they will use magic to get inside. After getting the children in the secret room, I locked the door from the inside.

I made them sit and tried to calm them down. "Luna, I am scared." one of the girls told. I sat next to her and tried to calm her.

"Don't be scared. Everything will alright." I said cooing. I decided to hum a tune that will calm them down. And indeed it did. They start to calm down.

We sat there for few hours when I heard constant loud bangs. The children started to get scared. They were here.

With the bangs I knew it was only minutes before they got. I went to the shelf and pushed it. It was a secret tunnel. I quickly guided them in.

I was going to close shelf, "Luna, aren't you coming?" one of the boys asked me. I shook my head. "I am going to hold them of. You guys follow the tunnel light."

They nodded their head. I closed the tunnel and took out the dagger that I was holding. I will not let the witches hurt the children.

The door banged open. 3 witches came barging in looking around. "Well, well. What do we have here? The Luna Queen." one of the witch said.

"We are going to have so much fun." she said before throwing red light balls at me. I dodged them and ran towards them.

Using some of my combat moves, I skidded and cut on of the witches legs as blood start ooze out. The witch let out a groan.

This seemed to surprise the other witches. They started throwing more red light balls at me. I kept dodging and formed cuts in their body.

The witches looked weak, and the fell to the ground kneeling. "We will not lose." one of the witches said before all of them recite some spell.

They formed one big red light and shoot it at me. I managed to dodged it as it hit the wall. But the impact was too big that sent me flying across the room.

I fell to the ground, as darkness consuming me.

I groaned as I felt a headache. My whole body feels like I have been run over by a bulldozer. I tried to open my eyes, as I tried to get adjusteded to the light.

"Oh my god thank goddess you are ok." Nathan exclaimed as he hugged me. I don't understand what's going.

That's when everything that happened came to me. The war, the witches, the children. Xavier. I pulled away from the hug.

"How are the children? Are they safe?" I asked frantically. "They are safe. Don't worry. Thanks to you." he smiled at me. "How about the rest pack?"

"We don't have anyone dead. Just some casualties that's all." He answered. "How are you? Are you hurt?" I asked inspecting him.

He chuckled. "I am fine. Its you we were worried about. What happened. You were lying unconscious with blood when we came back." he asked worried.

I sighed as I start to explain. "After few hours, the witches managed to get into the palace. They found where the kids and I were hiding and came to us.

I sent the kids into the tunnel and tried to fight of the witches to buy the kids time to escape. The tried to take me down.

I dodged the blows and managed hurt them and weaken them, before they fall unconscious the three of them threw one big spell at me.

I dodged it but the effect threw me against the wall and made me unconscious." I explained to him. He looked at me as if I grew an extra head.

"How did you manage to fight them?" he exclaimed. I chuckled. "I know combat fighting." he looked at me bewildered.

"And when were you going to tell me about this missy?" he asked crossing his arms. I smiled sheepishly at him. "I'm sorry?" I said questioningly.

He sighed. "Mum and Dad are going to be so mad." "Oh come on. You don't have to tell them" I whined. He glared at me as I kept my mouth shut.

"Is she awake?" Angela asked barging in. The moment she saw me, she hugged me tightly. "Thank the lords you ok. You are not pulling anymore stunts." she scolded me just like my mum.

I just nod my head. A question popped into my head. "Is h-he alright?" I whispered. "He's fine. Just a slight graze, but that's all." he said making me let out a slight relieve.

I stood up when Nathan stopped me. "Where are you going?" he asked scrunching his eyebrows. "To go and check on the kids."

"They are fine." he said making me sit. "So am I" I stood up. "You have a concussion." he pointed his finger at me.

"I'll be fine. I promise. The moment I don't feel fine, I will come back and lie down in this very bed." I said trying to walking away. I heard him swearing, and chuckled.

"I'll follow you." Angela said catching up to me. I nodded my head. "Where are the children anyway?" I asked as we got into the lift.

"They are in the backyard." I nodded my head. "What happen to all the witches?" I asked her the question that was bugging me.

"They are all died. Their spell backfired themselves digging their own grave." she said rolling her eyes. What she said was right.

We all could have lived harmoniously, but they didn't want that. I sighed thinking about their stupidity. We got out of the lift and went to the backyard.

Upon seeing me, the kids came running to me. I squatted in front of them and checked if they were injured. They were all fine.

"Luna, we scared something happened to you." one girl said as the rest agreed. "Nothing happened to me." I said smiling.

"But you have a boo boo." another girl said pointing at my bandage. I smiled and said it was nothing. I suddenly smell him.
