There was a constant whirring in her ears and no matter how she shifted it would not go away. Voices drifted to her, but she couldn't understand the language they were using. She opened her eyes and light flooded her vision painfully. She groaned as pain shot through her skull.   "You are waking! I am so relieved. I was beginning to worry that you might never wake again"   A weathered face came into focus and watery blue eyes looked into hers. A shiver ran down her spine and fear curled into her stomach. It rested there before curling its steel fingers around her spine and holding her frozen in suspended animation.
