He found her in the north wing, directing the maids to clean the now empty bedrooms. He watched her quietly and waited for her to finish, but it seemed she never would. Impatient, he told the maids who were peppering her with questions to go about their business. He turned to his housekeeper and said, "I'd like a few moments with you.
