After dinner there were cigars and brandy for the gentleman and sherry for the ladies. Later, some of the ladies played piano forte or sang. Lady Stuart turned to Honor and said, "Lady Thorne, a little bird told me that you played piano quite well. Would you honor us with a song?"   Honor blushed. She had never played for more than a few people at a time, and mostly servants. Gavin was the only one that ever really heard her play, but it would be bad form to refuse her host. She agreed, but warned, "I have only played for family and servants, so whoever told you that I was good, was most likely biased."   Honor chose to play Chopin's Nocturne in C-sharp Minor from memory.
