Just like Kate's decision to leave, the one she made to go back was in as much of a haste. She didn’t really take any time to consider it, not properly anyway, but that was on purpose. She figured if she let herself think about it for too long, she would probably just change her mind and start calling herself crazy again.  Besides, she was already standing at the baggage claim, waiting to see her suitcase roll around on the carousel, so it was too late to back out now. All of her belongings were either sold, packed away back home or in the process of being manhandled and thrown onto the conveyor in front of her.  When it looked like her luggage had finally appeared, she double-checked that they were in fact hers and loaded them onto the trolley in front of her.
