Chapter Thirty
Kate was shooting text messages off all over the place as she handed her ticket over to the airline attendant. She was texting Alegra, Elise, Nina, pretty much anyone who needed to know she was heading back home. She waited until just before boarding to send the messages, not knowing if she would actually have it in her to leave. Raphael would have to wait for his but she knew this was the best thing for both of them. The longer she stayed, the harder it would be to leave and it would only make things worse between them. She loved him too much to drag the heartache out any longer by staying, even though she wasn't truly ready to go back home. What she didn't want to do was leave like that, in the middle of the night without saying goodbye to anyone, but she had no other choice. At least,
