Chapter Thirty Eight
The last few days had been a little full-on for Kate and while she was far beyond grateful for how things worked out, she was also exhausted from all the sightseeing and introductions Raphael had insisted on. She did eventually let him know she was staying for good, shortly after they had made up but poor Raphael had been too busy taking off his shoes at the time to realise what she had said. When he finally looked up at her, the look on his face was exactly what Kate hoped to see. He did end up having to throw his shoes out, thankfully they were just an old pair of sneakers so Kate didn’t feel too badly about ruining them.
