Kate was so busy going through every item of clothing she owned, well at least every item she had brought with her, that she didn't notice her phone ringing. Hearing a text come in shortly after, Kate rummaged through the pile of clothes on her bed, finding her phone buried in amongst them. She slid her thumb across the screen and to her absolute horror, staring back at her was an image of Elise in her wedding dress. Her wedding dress, the same one she had left hanging over the guest room door in her old apartment.
Kate was fuming and she had only just noticed another six messages and three missed calls that had come in, they were all from Nina. Kate called her back right away and Nina answered in an instant.
