Ruby's POV I lay in the hospital bed, cradling my newborn son in my arms. His tiny hand gripped one of my fingers, causing my heart to swell with joy. Tears welled up in my eyes as memories from the past nine months flashed through my mind. As my eyes fixated on his little frame, I knew all those insults at the diner were worth it. Everything was finally worth it. "He's perfect," Lily said softly, her eyes glistening with tears as she squeezed his tiny palm. Nodding my head in response, I smiled weakly, exhausted but elated.
