Ruby’s POV
I stared at my phone, my heart racing as Dominic's name flashed on the screen. I hesitated for a moment before answering, my mind swirling with possibilities.
"Ruby," Dominic's voice was tight, his tone bothersome. "I've got Emma. She's with me."
My heart leapt with relief but was quickly replaced by concern. "What's wrong? That’s good news right? So why are you sounding like that?”
"We’re at the hospital," Dominic said, his voice grim.
“We? What happened? Is Emma okay? Is she fine?” Streams of questions escaped my mouth within seconds, and a wave of nausea washed over me as I thought about what could’ve happened to my baby girl.
"Emma fainted,” he replied, his tone sad.
