Into the Woods

Crys could say she did not hate a lot of things. In fact, she never really used the word ‘hate’ because it was just too strong of a word. Most of the time she would replace it with ‘dislike’... However, Crys could say she truly hated something...Airplanes. The plane ride from Hawaii to Japan, with few layovers in between, had been brutal on this island girl. The planes were extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep in. How did anyone ride these things anyway!?  She couldn’t remember exactly when they landed in Japan, Crys was just glad there would be no more planes. She vaguely recalled Ampris pulling her into a car before waking up in an unknown room.  “Rise and shine princess! No time to dawdle.” She gave a groan at Shylene’s words. The red head pulled Crys up from her bed. “Jet lag will do that to you.” “Ugh…” Crys huffed. “Where are we?” “Shibuya.” Shylene told her. “You practically slept the whole way here. …Don’t fall asleep yet or you won’t sleep tonight.”  Crys crashed right back onto a pillow, wanting nothing more than to go back to glorious sleep.  “Oh come on!” Sarah was at her side. “It’s time to explore! Don’t you want to explore!?”  Those words perked up Crys’s curiosity. She had totally forgotten she was outside of the compound...The world was hers to explore! The very thought alone brought a renewed energy within her. Crys rose from her bed, ready to hit the streets and check out Shibuya, Japan! “Just remember our mission…” The voice of reason was Ampris. “We are here to locate information on your brother.”  Crys nodded her head.  Ampris gave the girl a smile. “But that does not mean we can’t have fun in the process.”  “Alright!” Sara jumped two feet into the air. “Leave the fun stuff to me! First thing’s first...SNACKS!!!”  ___________________________________________________________Adam strolled into the convenience store list in hand. Xavier sure was a slave driver sometimes, the list completely specific in nature. Rolling his eyes he grabbed a basket and shopped for food that would be feeding three men. There would be no way in hell Hiro would be eating this junk but his men HAD to eat. They would only be staying in the hotel for a few days so only the basics were needed. At least Shibuya had the best selection of what could be considered junk food in all the cities around Tokyo.  “Ugh...Why did I get stuck with this stupid job..” a woman’s voice entered his ears. Turning into an isle he spotted a most attractive one with long red hair and steely grey eyes. Her black leather pants showed off her slender curves, the white tank leaving much to the imagination.  Hmmm….Might as well make the most of this little chore... “You need any help there?” Judging by her appearance she wasn’t in a good mood. His normal flirting would be useless on this red head headed spitfire.  Grey eyes turned his way. “Unless you can’t read Japanese…” Adam grinned. “Well, looks like you’re prettty lucky.”  He helped the woman with a few things on the shelf, being careful to keep his distance. He wasn’t stupid, this chick was hard core. Her body language practically screamed tough broad and Adam wasn’t about to screw up a potential night partner.  “Huh, thanks.” She gave off a smirk. “I guess there is SOME hope for the male gender…”  Oh yeah, total hottie here… Adam chuckled.  “Well I’m glad I represented them well.” He immediately put on the charm. “How long you here?”  “Dunno, we just got here a few days ago.” She shrugged. She noticed his expectant look. “Me and the girls came here for vacation.”  Adam was practically crying with joy inside. More girls meant more fun. Jackpot!!!  “Well you and your friends will certainly have fun here, that’s for sure. Shibuya is the place to be.”  “Thanks.” She headed towards the front. “Have a nice day, cowboy.”  Adam sensed a kindred spirit in this woman.  “You too, cowgirl.” And he watched her sander off to the register. Damn...Now THAT is a woman... Shylene left the convenience store without her annoyance and anger. She quickly recalled the strapping stranger that helped her and a smile quickly spread across her face.  “Ooh, looks like you ran into a hottie! So jealous!” Annoyance returned when she spotted her sister typing away at her phone. The girl all but refused to enter the store, saying it was boring as hell. “Oh shut up.” Shylene rolled her eyes. “At least I recognize an actual man...you instead fall for those idiots who probably can’t even drive a stick shift.” She forced a grocery bag onto her sister. “Help me carry this stuff will ya?”  The twins were a sight  as they walked back to the hotel, but they were used to such stares. It wasn’t every day one saw red headed twins in Japan. As they crossed the threshold of the hotel, they noticed Ampris speaking to some alabaster skinned guy.  “That’s not a bad idea.” They were apparently discussing something important. “I might try that.” “I recommend you do, it is so much easier to make schedules that way.” The guy gave Ampris a most pleasant smile. “I hope you and your friends enjoy your stay.”  The guy left and the twins approached. “What the heck was that all about?” Shylene was instantly suspicious. “Nothing, just polite conversation.” Ampris eyes the two. “Where is Crys?”  Sara frowned. “Whatya mean? Wasn’t she with you?”  For the briefest of moments there was panic amongst the three before their charge came rushing towards them, a bright smile on her face.  "You guys! I've found something so cool!" She was a bright star in the space, nearly bouncing with energy that rivaled Sara's. "Come on! Let's go!"  "Hold on now." Used to Sara's antics, Ampris eyed Crys. "What has you all excited?" A paper was thrust into her hands. It was a flyer for a specific type of cafe here in Japan.  "A maid cafe?" Ampris eyed Crys carefully. "Isn't it cool!? I thought we could go and check it out!"  There was silent contact between the three guides then Shylene sighed.  "I'll be back, got to put this stuff up." She headed for the elevators.  "Alright! A maid cafe!" Now Sara latched onto Crys' excitement. "This is going to be fun!"  Ampris couldn't help but shake her head. Sara and Crys, at times, were so alike it was scary. David had warned them about Crys’ spontaneous curiosity. It was rather refreshing really, to see someone so excited about the smallest of things.  Crys and Sara were already heading towards the front door gabbing about the impending cafe they would be going to. So entranced with their conversation, the two failed to see the gentleman in front of them. It was Crys that accidentally crashed into him, this Asian male with steely black eyes. He was dressed in a black suit and tie, maybe a businessman? “Ohmygosh I’m sorry!” Crys remembered Ampris saying she needed to bow and quickly apologize should a mistake happen. Thinking quickly Crys bowed her head and recalled the words Ampris taught her.  “Um...Go...men...Nasai?” Crys stumbled.  “Be mindful of your steps.” The English phrase made her sit up but the male was already gone, heading towards another male who was sitting in the far corner with his back turned. All Cyrs could make out from the companion was his brown hair.  “Rude much?” It was Sara that brought Crys out of her stupor. The red head’s grin said it all. “Come on! Let’s drag Shylene to a maid cafe! Oh my gosh we’ve got to get her to take a picture! It’ll be hilarious!”  Meanwhile Lee quickly apologized to his lord and master for his tardiness. Hiro was enjoying his brief moment of peace before his guard returned to his side. Though Lee was as loyal as they come, it was a bit too much when your own master had to order you to go to the bathroom.  “It isn’t like you to crash into normies, Lee.” Hiro actually gave a little dark chuckle. He had given Lee five minutes and the guy had returned in six. Lee had always said punctuality was important. “Let alone a bunch of women.”  “Foreigners tend to ignore their surroundings.” Lee took a seat as well. “Why do you wish to be down here and not in the room?” “I’m not going to be a prisoner, Lee…” Hiro rolled his eyes. “I will go anywhere I damn please, besides...I need to show my face around here anyway.” He eyed his glass of water, the only liquid any of his men would allow him to drink right now. “People need to recognize the Moon is back and ready to get back what was taken.”  “Well the supplies have just been delivered.” Adam crashed onto the couch. “Xaiver should be back in a few minutes.”  The albino did return moments later, notepad in hand. He listed off the many appointments Hiro needed to make within the next few hours. Being the new Moon Clan Patriarch, he would need to visit all of the businesses owned by the Moon Clan, one of them being this exact hotel they were currently staying in.  “The manager should be with us momentarily.” Xavier stated. “After meeting with him, we have another quick meet and greet down the street then it is off to the Shining Light followed by lunch then--”  It was going to be another busy day. Hiro glared at his secretary.  “Do not worry.” Xavier knew very well his lord was pissed. “Adam is going to stay and start looking through international documents.”  Adam cracked his fingers. “I’ll have something when you guys get back.” He looked at Xaiver. “Oh yeah, you should look into getting some red heads...They’re pretty firey if you ask me.” Xavier rolled his eyes. “Save your wit and wills for another time. You are banned from the Shining Light until the princess is found.”  Adam gapped. “Awe seriously!?” Xavier eyed him. “Deal with it, it was Yuy’s orders.”  Adam smacked his forehead. “Why do you do this to me!?” “No sister, no one night stands, deal with it.” Hiro snorted at him. “Get to work, you are dismissed.”  “Fine, fine…” Adam gave a huff then headed up to their hotel room.  “Now that that is settled, shall we?” Xaiver smiled at Hiro. Hiro set down his water and sat up straight. “Get that damn manager NOW.”  “At once.” Xavier was gone. Lee was impressed by Hiro’s quick change. The medicine given had helped greatly...No signs of fatigue or even inebriation was displayed on the young Yakuza lord. He was making his father proud indeed. As the nervous hotel manager entered the lobby, Lee took his standing position behind Hiro, ever the silent guard watching the meeting unfold in front of him. There would be many like this to come for Hiro had to display his dominance.  And right now, even Lee himself was a bit scared at the new Moon Clan Patriarch.
